We need to work on defending set pieces.

The club really should be ashamed of the summer window. They deserved every second of that half. Poor Roy's not been helped one bit by them, it's disgraceful

We had absolutely no intention of trying to win tonight.

Saturday is all that matters.

Unfortunately, this is true. I don't think Roy will waste his first team substitutes on this game. Who else have we got that needs a run out? They won't get another opportunity until the FA Cup.

Looks like he's not even bothered about that tonight.

Completely disagree. When he has decent players available to him we play decent football. First season and then last season, the rest of the time we've had old scrappers so what do you expect. With all our decent attackers either injured, not worth the risk or left the club I'm not sure what else you'd expect.

Agreed but Roy should have told them straight and in public before the window closed.

Why do we employ DF…..we don’t sign anybody.

Being kind it can’t be ideal playing zero football then being asked to play at Old Trafford. If you added up the total minutes 6 of this side have played this season (maybe even this season plus last season!) I doubt it would total 90 minutes. Riedewald is the only plus tonight. JRS should get his minutes from the bench during league matches. He looks out of his depth in this game.

Lerma was a good signing. Him being out has hurt

Likewise Franca to come back and we retained Olise.

Yes there is a lack of depth, but if you want a good first 11 that’s the sacrifice.

You’re actually right. I just slated Roy for his tactics but given the players he’s got to choose from he ain’t got a lot of options. We just ain’t good enough with the players we got available

To be fair I think Roy did say we needed more players. They ignored him. The same happened in his last season before Vieira came in. PV was then given sizeable funds to spend. The attitude seems to be that Roy can somehow muddle through and avoid reloeith effectively one hand tied behind his back. I feel sorry for him really

How long is Lerma out for? We're in a bit of trouble here and realistically, this is one of the worst performances I've seen (my first game was a 0-1 defeat to the mighty Port Vale), so....not feeling overly optimistic!
