Lerma on a free was handy but we have done nothing to resolve our obvious limitations.

Zaha has gone, and we have added nothing up front to compensate for those goals. The only forward player incoming is young, raw and has a back problem that seems to be quite serious. Meanwhile, Olise, who we apparently prevented from joining Chelsea by paying him proper Premier League wages, is as fragile as glass and won't be available for weeks once again.

We have two strikers who might score ten between them, and will probably get away with it because we are unlikely to finish below three other teams.

This is all very uninspiring.
