Improved terms like that, may keep them both at Palace for at least a couple of more years... Or is that wishful thinking? It must be galling to see Edouard on a higher salary so getting them ahead of him might help a bit. But when inferior players like Antony and Sancho are on 200,000 and 350,000 (FFS), respectively then we cannot compete long term

From Cityxtra, quoting Sam Lee in the Athletic: "City are said to be unwilling to pay any more than £50 million for Olise, in a fee that is ‘unlikely’ to be accepted by Crystal Palace following their loss of Wilfried Zaha and competition from Chelsea." Release clause of £35m?, err no. The statement of "more than £50m" implies and tentative enquiries have been made, with the response being something like, "no, you'll need to go higher than that." With the exception of this last one, every season Wilf was leaving, according to "sources", for £30-40m. One year the Everton chairman even came put publicly to debunk a media lie about a bid made. That didn't stop the gutter press from repeating the lie. Parish has a number in mind, £70,80m?, Dougie has potential targets lined up, just in case, so as Roy stated, there is a "slight chance" someone will meet our evaluation. Chelsea have made around £218m in player sales, still have £121m of that to spend, if they choose to, so...maybe.
I am not a bot. No, seriously, I'm not. |

I think if the release clause is in the contract he would have gone by now, the only person who has said categorically, yes or no, is Ambrose, and he wouldn't have said it if he didn't know, Rak-Sakyi is the future, if he is not ready, loan a player for a season, i think Olise has pound signs in his eyes, and 50/60m would allow a good CF, which we badly need.

Pepe, Ziyech, Diallo or Cornet are all left footed right wingers who could do a job for a year, with help from the parents club wages, then Rak-Sakyi full guns blazing the following year, be like Bobby McFerrin.

If there was a buy out clause and Chelsea wanted him then the deal would have been done long ago. Unreal what click bait can spin.

What about Fryers, Mutch, Bamford, Jach, Meyer, Sakho, Benteke Brothers and so on! Same as any club..... ALL clubs sign duff players once in a while. The truth is we do no worse and I would say better compared to other clubs. So if we don't know what we're doing in terms of transfer, then nobody does. The statement, "they don't know what they're doing" doesn't even come close to standing up. Even in regards to transfers.
