Can anyone please explain why we weren’t given a free kick when a back pass was made to Hennessy in the last 10 mins? I have read the relevant rule repeatedly and can’t understand why it wasn’t awarded.

Just happened to be a controlled one that was aimed for Hennessy to receive it. Not a pass back in my and more importantly the referee’s opinion?

But Mateta, there is a reason he only cost 8 million. Outside PSG and maybe a couple of other clubs Ligue 1 must be quite poor. Excuses for Benteke was lack of service. There can be no such excuse given now. Striker(s) a priority yet again for another close season. Mateta did well for a lowly Bundersliga side as well.

There was some faint "booing" from the Holmesdale when Steve Parish strode onto the pitch at the start of yesterday's walk-round. Why? Has this man not done enough for the club?
