Pre contract can only be signed a month before the expire of his current deal because Bournemouth are in the same league/country. So that would be 1st of June I'd imagine. If he were talking to a club outside of the uk he can sign a pre contract six months out. Think its to do with conflict of interest in case he signs for his new club and then has to play them before his old contract is up which i find strange cos Gündoğan is out of contact at city in the summer and he would have been allowed to sign for inter last January

Lerma would be a sensible signing as he's a bosman - although his wages will reflect this. Just to add a name to the mix - Daniel Amartey. I think we were interested in him last summer. Now out of contract and Leicester has been relegated. Also 28 and a defensive midfielder. Edited by palace99 (30 May 2023 1.10pm)
