More click bait about a host of top clubs across Europe queuing up to sign Zaha. However it occurs to me that he could have signed a pre deal in January for one of them and hasn't. This seems to be more and more common and the big clubs like Barcelona and Real often announce a player is joining them months ahead of the actual start date. My suspicion is that Wilf is not a no 1 target for any of these super clubs and so is a back up for their real target. Better off at Palace Wilf.

Click Bait today about Arsenal and for once it makes sense. Arsenal's first target is Bayer Leverkusen forward Moussa Diaby with Zaha as back up. As I said above all these top clubs supposedly fighting to sign Zaha then why haven't they? He can sign a contract now so what's stopping them. I'm sure if Barcelona were serious Wilf would be on the next plane, I'm afraid that Zaha is on a lot of lists across Europe but none of them have him as their top pick he is back up if they don't get their top target. There is also supposed interest from Chelsea again why hasn't he signed.

I think there is going to be a lot of truth in this. The fact of the matter is that he is a top player. Not world class, but really very good. But, he is on big wages, end product isn't great, isn't young and has a bit of a reputation. Doesn't mean he wont be of interest to a lot of clubs, but probably not first choice. I suspect he wont declare any intentions to Parish, and his agent will scurry around collection up as many offers form other clubs as possible and then they will start some negotiations and pick one. But some, as you said, will be based on other transfers not happening. The one thing that is certain is that IF he re-signs it wont be early, and so it makes planning for us very difficult. I don't think we have any option but to assume that he wont sign and sort a replacement.

It's just possible he'll stay if Parish gets very busy early in the window as he knows he'll always start at Palace, and he may not be a automatic starter at Chelsea

If Chelsea want him then the price must include Conor Gallagher coming this way...

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |
