He read philosophy, politics and economics at Lincoln College, Oxford, graduating with a first in 2001.[8][11] During his time at university, he undertook an internship at Conservative Campaign Headquarters and joined the Conservative Party

It literally states on the same page that he joined the Conservative party in 2010.

I had a look at several other sources and 2010 does seem to be the favourite date. The confusion is the Wikipedia comment

"During his time at Oxford University (2000 / 2001), Sunak undertook an internship at Conservative Campaign Headquarters and joined the Conservative Party. "

The other sources omit the "joined the conservative party" comment. It seems quite likely that whilst he interned he did not join until 2010 so Wikipedia is probably wrong and certainly conflicting dates which should be corrected.

It would certainly make more sense.

You would think that on a page about such a prominent person that they would get this right.

Yes I know. So either he left and re-joined, Wikipedia is wrong or 'joined' and 'joined' mean two different things.

Sigh

Who cares when he joined the Conservative party?

Policies change.

At the 1981 Labour Party conference the NEC endorsed “withdrawal” as official Labour Party policy. 84% of delegates voted in favour of leaving the EEC.

Starmer's offer to the voters comes across as "we'll give you the same Tory policies you love, but with more competence, less corruption, and maybe just a little less cruelty too."

Things can only get (very marginally) better.

The country will decline further over the next decade, but we will make it more palitable.
