The weird thing is when we were playing poorly at the end of Vieira's reign I thought he stood out as one of our better players looking calm under pressure, finding space, keeping things ticking over. Roy comes in, we start winning, he gets his chance and he looked low on confidence and not clear what he was supposed to be doing. It did seem like Vieira was a big factor in his move so maybe he has just struggled with the change in manager? He's still young and probably expected to play most of the games this season. He looked good to me, but I don't think he'll be here next season so I think we'd be better off giving Ahamada a place on the bench now.

Sort of agree and sort of don't. If we can get him permanently (NOT loan), on terms favourable to us, I'd do it because I think he has a higher ceiling than the average squad player and if that potential was fulfilled (which is no better than 50/50 at most) then it'd be a plus. And if it isn't fulfilled, he'd not be the worst squad player in the world for a couple of seasons. But all that said, I'd let Roy make the call. Happy to trust his judgment.

Burnley want him and perhaps with game time he can become a good player but I don't see he is good enough to displace our midfield so not for me.
