Have we learned from CG? Play sparingly. Tell the gooners meh but we'll take him off your hands for squad fodder. As soon as he is on the books... Play the sh1t out of him. Gooners seem wise to this which I suspect is why they are publicly saying he's not for sale. He is.

The weird thing is when we were playing poorly at the end of Vieira's reign I thought he stood out as one of our better players looking calm under pressure, finding space, keeping things ticking over. Roy comes in, we start winning, he gets his chance and he looked low on confidence and not clear what he was supposed to be doing. It did seem like Vieira was a big factor in his move so maybe he has just struggled with the change in manager? He's still young and probably expected to play most of the games this season. He looked good to me, but I don't think he'll be here next season so I think we'd be better off giving Ahamada a place on the bench now.

I think he's a typical Arsenal midfielder, neat and tidy but doesn't impose himself on the game. They have plenty of those Smith Rowe is a good player not getting a game at the moment. Nothing wrong with him but we can do better.

Nothing wrong with him but we can do better. Sort of agree and sort of don't. If we can get him permanently (NOT loan), on terms favourable to us, I'd do it because I think he has a higher ceiling than the average squad player and if that potential was fulfilled (which is no better than 50/50 at most) then it'd be a plus. And if it isn't fulfilled, he'd not be the worst squad player in the world for a couple of seasons. But all that said, I'd let Roy make the call. Happy to trust his judgment.

He doesn't seem good enough for Arsenal or us. He'd be a pretty late developer to improve much now. Looks like Roy hasn't been impressed. I'd like to see more of Ahamada but doesn't look like Roy's interested in him either. Half our players are playing like new signings under Roy. It's pretty clear things had turned sour under PV.

Burnley want him and perhaps with game time he can become a good player but I don't see he is good enough to displace our midfield so not for me.

Arsenal don't want him either it seems. It's possible our new manager, Steve Cooper hopefullly, might like to buy him, but I doubt it. Whoever the new manager is, they'll have their own preferred players
