He won’t have faced a situation like this before and whereas your Arsenals and Man City’s could rely on just being better to bail them out on a bad day or bad run, a side like ours needs leadership, motivation and nous.

I think it’s gone beyond saving. He benefitted from being “not Roy” but like Sheffield Utd he’s been found out.

If we had started a couple of the youngsters I could half understand that result but given the team we put out at home to the worst team in the league that is a really pathetic performance. Unless we do something drastic in the transfer window, and we all know we won’t, we could be in real trouble between now and May.
