I got my tree from the Christmas tree farm this year. You walk around with a ribbon amongst the trees, then they cut yours down for you, wrap it, and help you to the car. If you have kids it would be a day out. As it was, it was me and the missus, and, of course, we had to get the perfect tree. We thought it was maybe 7-8 foot, but was actually over 9. 70 euro. Why have you hanged that mouse thing and who’s the kid with a pussy cat in the picture. Looks like from some eons ago

No Christmas 'do' at work. Big meeting yesterday with lots of views aired. Here's your £50 bonus for the year (in vouchers), thanks for your views, now back to work, or feck off. Meanwhile the neighbour dispute between Mrs HB and the neighbour is back on friendly terms. The slow unstoppable roll into a miserable Christmas of unfulfilled dreams, broken promises and lack of cash is looming.
I disengage, I turn the page. |

Did some shopping out and about. Filled up with petrol for £1:40.9p per litre, which is nice. See this old geezer in one town. Looked a bit too friendly with the kids for my liking, but I seemed to be in a minority voicing concerns. Attachment: Santa Dec 2022.jpeg (19.84Kb)

The final bit of nostalgia take its place. It's 1978 all over again. Look through the listings on Christmas Day, and you still get,..It's a Wonderful Life, Porridge the film, Morecombe and Wise,....the only big change is this year we get "The King's Speech" Attachment: Complete Christmas 2022.JPG (5,876.13Kb)

Starting to take the foot off the gas now. Everything is done. Got the pet food (just in case they don't want turkey leftovers), collecting the turkey and veg on Friday morning. Presents wrapped and cards sent (even the annoying 1 or 2 who you forgot and only just got time to post one back "bloody postal strike" Gave the postman a tenner this morning, and the binmen will get theirs on Thursday. You'll remember the binmen in january when you throw out all the wrapping paper and boxes and old cards. Got some cards from the neighbours. No bloody money in them

last night, watched another version of "a Christmas carol", this one had Patrick Stewart in it. All very good, just like the other 20 versions i've watched this Christmas already. The only one missing so far this year is The Muppet Christmas Carol, or maybe I missed it
