Good result.

Pleased with that.

Add it to Man City and Liverpool for the 'Glad It's Out Of The Way' pile.

Awful game.

Newcastle had a lot of chances could say we are lucky to get a point.

We were lucky to get a point.

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled.

It's about time we had some luck up there. Well done Palace, not pretty but respect the point.

One more point

In the final analysis I am content with a share of the spoils.
A draw at Newcastle is a creditable result.

Felt like we were timewasting for most of the 2nd half.

This how it's going to be? Scrabbling and defending a nil-nil draw in the hope of a point, under a relentless barrage whilst we sit back, passing back to keeper from free kicks past the halfway line.

No threat shown. No desire shown. No fight. The Eduoard "attempt" towards the end epitomised our efforts: limp, lame, lacklustre.

I don't see many positives here.

Ayew, Doucouré, Guehi and Guiata worked hard and earned us what was a bit of a fortunate point. Olise looked good when he came on. Wilf went back to looking disinterested (although he was constantly tripped, stepped on, pulled and pushed with little from the ref), Eze totally off his game. If Newcastle had more quality they would have won that. As it was they looked like a £150 million Burnley with long balls, set-pieces and balls flung into the box. That will be effective though against many teams, especially when they don't have to play the diving midget. As for us we need more fight in games like this as Ayew and Cheikh can't do it alone in midfield.

We need to sort something out in midfield.another game where schlupp was anonymous for most of the game. But who do you replace him with.might be time to give Hughes a run kn the side.

That could be the point of the season.

I have to say Wilf wasn’t in the game today and gave the ball away. Edouard looked better than he has been recently when he came on.

Hate to say it but we miss Kouyate. I think him and Doucoure in midfield would give far more licence for Schlupp, Eze Ayew or Olise to attack.

I suppose we have to wait for Jimmy Mc to come back or give Hughes a go.

Graçias, Sr. Guaita!

To be fair, everyone worked hard in defending, even though we didn't play crisp football. Mateta and Edouard still look nervous when facing good chances.

No, really hard work and well won point. Toon did not deserve the win.

Plenty to complain about but they are a good team at home with squad depth. We did well.

According to the BBC we had 9 shots on target to their 6.
Doesn't sound like it!
