The word was we are not replacing Benteke like for like. Instead would be looking at a wide player. Assuming this is why we are pursuing Sarr. It was said we would be revisiting old targets.. which again rings true here. Plan I believe is to play Wilf more through the middle this season but would require another winger joining, who would be a starter.

At the moment Watkins is marginally more welcome at Selhurst Park than Alan Mullery - no doubt if we signed him & he started to score goals we would eventually overlook his past being a "paper hat" issues.
