But it could be a poison chalice for a club like Crystal Palace

He's an interesting proposition, and could play in a few positions in a fluid front 3. I wouldn't be against signing him, but my real worry is preparing for a life post Wilf, but not really sure what the answer to that is. P1 - Wilf replacement (goal scorer)

A manager will always pick his best team. Also, whilst he was injured he has been playing again since August so has had over 4 months to get his sharpness back. On Sat when Bristol were losing he came on in the 60th minute. I strongly suspect he is not starting purely because the manager prefers the other 2 forwards and feels his pace is better suited as an impact sub.

There's loads of examples where a transfer/contract situation prevents a player from being picked.
I think this 'not starting' stuff is being massively overstated.

What ever the reason for not picking him is irrelevant, i have my own theory why he isn't be picked, but i would be banned, but at the end of the day, in my opinion he will be an outstanding player in the future.

The state of us where 10 years into the Premier League, we're trying to work out how concerned we should be that our rumoured attacking target is not, let alone regularly scoring, regularly starting games at sodding Bristol City, in a league where the second joint top scorers include recent Premier League failures such as Oli McBurnie, Jay Rodriguez and Josh Sargent. If we spend £8m on Semenyo, for him to be worth it, we have to finish about 3 places higher in the Premier League than we would do if we just stuck with Rak-Sakyi.

Time will tell he will leave Bristol, go to another team and be a great success, just like Eze will be England's best player at the next world cup. and one of the best players in the world, you also have to remember that, Rak-Sakyi, Ebowei and Olise are all left footed

I didn’t realise we could only sign him for one season

Whilst I quite like him. He's not the answer for now. Pick him up on a free in the summer and sign a central midfielder.
