As a Palace fan I love this forum but find it hard to understand why it’s wrong to swear but ok to say disgraceful things about people from Liverpool! We should be better than that. Everton should be punished for failing to protect PV and the players during and after the game.. Patrick should be commended for his restraint up to the point where he kicked that idiot and forgiven for losing his cool in such circumstances. As for Lampard. No class. Condones the pitch invasion, practically says it’s Pat’s fault for crossing the pitch, and admits he didn’t even have the courtesy to shake his hand after the match. Never understood why the media love him so much. His greatest achievement in football- taking Everton from 16th …. to 16th! Up there alongside taking Chelski from 4th to 4th and Derby from 6th to 6th. The man is a model of consistency! Too late to be nominated for manager of the season I suppose?

I remember back in 2010 (I think) at Hillsborough, last game of the season & one of those games the TV loved as whoever lost would be relegated. Palace won & there was a mass pitch invasion. Palace players got assaulted, but stewards did nothing, even saw a Sheffield fan in a wheelchair come the length of the pitch. Lucky we were in the upper tier otherwise we would have been attached. Eventually police cleared them, but we’d been kept behind so the home fans were waiting, saw several Palace fans covered in blood outside Don’t think the FA did anything, and the press blamed the Palace fans saying they were the ones who invaded the pitch
Trivial fact - Palace used to win 5-1 at least once a season, maybe next season? |

It's just observation there's no 'right or wrong'.

Hope that little rat fan is identified and banned for life, just like that idiot Forest fan who basically committed a hit and run assault on Billy Sharp. Absolute disgraceful scenes from a club who don’t deserve an ounce of respect when we play them next season. Edited by Alexi_the_Eagle (20 May 2022 6.42am) The idiot who head butted Billy Sharp was jailed for 24 weeks. A Forest Fan was so disgusted she opened an online fundraising page which has already raised over £13k. Billy Sharp has nominated a children's hospice to receive the money. Big respect from me to both of them

It's strange, but all the newspapers and media seem to be condemning PV for retaliation, whilst social media posts, generally, are either supportive of his actions or feel he didn't go far enough....... Funny old world!

If he does react he loses money because Everton have let their sh1t go on for several weeks to help their survival, including no protection or any stewarding whatsoever. If he doesn’t he looks weak and people start saying he isn’t or wasn’t a tough man unless a referee or teammates were in front of him, which is what many football fans are like. Brave when safe.
