Well we had the two best chances before they scored. Unfortunately they fell to Kouyate

PV did his best. The Chelscum chequebook got us. Show me the weak chink in their squad ?

did they cost 4 times or 8 times the Palace squad ? for money ?

Vieira mucked it right up today with his tactics and team choice but in all reality after fifty something years as a supporter I simply cannot ever see us winning a major trophy the way things in the football world are.
It's all about who's got the money and it's getting boring to be honest and I for one am about done with it all.
Good luck all.

No real surprises in that match.

Supporters better than the team again.

Eze a player we can't afford, completely anonymous.
No point having silky skills if the game just passes him by.

Olise did more in five minutes that Eze did in 90.

We're still a good couple of transfer windows away from a squad with any real depth.

Feel for Mitchell, one slip and it was a costly one.

Hey ho, back to the league.

Disappointing second half from us despite the gulf in quality. After the Mitchell mistake it was just a matter of "by how much". Same old story, if you don't take your chances (which were few and far between) you'll pay. Curious why Ward was preferred to Clyne in the starting lineup.
Lost 10 in the trot to them now!

Second half Chelsea played to a higher level and with the players they have they were too good. We can argue about formations, tactics and subs but second half they were too good. If Olise had been fit to start and Gallagher allowed to play maybe we would have stood a chance. They had a player on the bench who cost more than our entire squad so I think sometimes we just have to have perspective. A strong first season and Vieira will hopefully learn from it.

Viera bottled it, Southgate esque actually, chelsea were average today, were something stupid like 30 goals up on where we were last season & we go out there & play Roy ball & whats worse is the players trusted him with that madness he thought up.

Comment of the day. The Chelsea players shuffled off the pitch after a tepid celebration, 'just another win'. Our fans sounded like we had won the game.

I think we did all right. Could have been a bit better, just seemed a little bit flat for me. We did have some chances and certainly gave Chelsea a game. Not an embarrassment just didn't look like we had a real chance.
