The fanatics have been a fantastic addition to our club since 2005, I have been watching Palace since the mid 70's we were never known as having a special atmosphere until the fanatics got together they start and the rest of the ground follow I am amazed the level of criticism aimed at them from fellow Palace fans. I think the club should of consulted them however I think Wembley is big enough for sets of banners but I don't think that is the point HF prefer to be independent and good luck to them for it

I attended the 2016 final and was in row 5 … the banner the HF held up meant I couldn’t see the pre-match stuff.

I also have a friend who has usher syndrome (deaf and receding eyesight can only see 20% of his vision field) he was bang in the middle and just in front of the HF … a member of the HF pushed him away saying it was “their area”.

As much as I enjoy the chants and banners etc there has to be a line somewhere and the HF are dangerously close to it (if not overshot it).

It's exactly this sort of stuff that annoys me. In fairness awareness of where the HF are would have been advised to avoid this, that's not really their fault as you know what you're getting when mixing it in there.

However being booted out is a joke. Not saying they're always like that but this is what I mean when I say 'entitled and immature'

I agree.

However they, like the club, should be open to constructive criticism and improvement. It's not a binary 'you like us or you hate us'. Further the only reason I'm even bothering to get involved here is because of the OTT press release. It makes total sense to be annoyed that the club have not informed them of plans, however there are ways to go about engaging and bringing that up and writing fairly whiny, immature public statements is not it.

I have just read that the Holmesdale was going to supply banners for the top tier but that was banned due to the club wishing to put up its own.

That appears to be a major part of the anger and I can see why. A fans' banner would have had much greater impact and differentiated us from other clubs.

And, to repeat, why on earth did the club not inform the Holmesdale so that banners weren't created that now can't be used?

Why does the club HAVE to inform the HF of what it's going to do?

It doesn't, and it's nonsense to suggest otherwise. On the other hand, no club has the power to ban banners at a neutral ground (if Mapletree's claim is correct).

Palace since 19 August 1972. Palace 1 (Tony Taylor) Liverpool 1 (Emlyn Hughes)

The HF are great at getting the singing going and waving flags but are really making themselves look daft if theyre not happy about other Palace flags in the stadiums. This whole "singing section" idea has always seemed very contrived and brightonesque ... we all sing ....its organic that how it spreads.

True, but, it would seem that Wembley themselves have banned them, which is of course, their right. The club are far more important than a bunch of people thinking they have a divine right to do what they want. Did the HF inform the club as to what they were planning as opposed to the 'info. being out there for all to read'

As always, where the HF are involved its all getting very silly & shows us up in a negative light, i bet a lot of clubs(esp B'ton) are laughing themselves silly at our antics.

Lets all enjoy the day on Sunday & hope & pray for a win. COYP

Doesn't it?

It knew that a large number of Palace fans had contributed funds and loads and loads of time to creating our own display. So it should simply ignore that and do its own thing?

The Club has finally worked out the uniqueness of our support, try reading yesterday's article on its site. It just can't bring itself to play nicely in the sand pit.

Oy. I may be spotty but I am not a teenager

Tell you what, when you do something towards other supporters and local charities let us know and we'll celebrate with you. Until you do so, I suggest you pipe down. Jeez.

Go boil you head loser.
How do you know what I have done and still do for charities? You dont. Stop bigging yourself up and pipe down. Doing things for charities are also not exclusive to the HF you idiot

I have been singing for Palace for nearly 60 years

Never before has there been wall to wall singing for a full 90 minutes. Now we do that every match. Yes, it is special. And no other English club does it game in, game out.

The section doesn’t cry. The club just keeps messing up. We all know this. It changed its mind twice about moving the section for example, clearly reneging on an agreement reached with the HF and then having to do a u turn

If other fans want to step up to the plate then great, bring it on. Just don’t snipe from the sidelines.

Boo f*kin Hoo. No one cares pal.
They wouldn't if you 'sang' for another 60 years. BTW what does that make you? 75? 80? Give me a break. Most men of that age have grown up a bit! Haha

I think they need to realise they’re not quite as important as they think they are. If they concentrated on doing the good job they do and stop trying to shove it down everyone elses throats they’d have a lot more respect from the rest of the fan base

This 100%
They just make themselves the butt of peoples jokes the way they carry on with their entitled "I'm a bigger fan than you' attitude.
This Maple syrup fella is hilarious!
