Although proud of the three of them i cant help thinking how their ambitions will change as full internationals. Im sure Tuchel was watching closely seeing Conor do an impression of Kante and Guehi looking very impressive in a back 3 and with Rudigers future uncertain could be tempted to activate their buy back option.
As for Tyrick he is apparently already being covrted by other clubs. We could have a fight on our hands in the summer.

Talk about glass half empty - jeez..!!

I don’t think Chelsea have a buy back option. The deal is, if a club offers a price that Palace accept, Chelsea have the right to match it
As for Mitchell we need to offer a huge new contract with massive buy out

That's my understanding as well, so Chelsea can only have Guehi back if we are willing to accept a big enough offer from another club and Chelsea are prepared to match that offer.

Grealish was talking up Mitchell after the England game and Man City are rumoured to be interested. I would miss him as his attacking play with Schlupp, Zaha and Edouard has really come on recently but I wonder if there will be an offer out there that is just too good to ignore, especially if they are confident Adaramola can do the job and we have more pressing needs upcoming in midfield

I definitely heard this price match clause mentioned somewhere this week.

I can't really see much benefit to Chelsea other than it protects them from having valuations inflated just because they are/were 'rich'.

In hindsight, they probably made a mistake letting him and Tomori go as they seem to be losing a lot of centre backs this summer and that was before the Abramovich situation kicked off. He genuinely looks the real deal to me. We are very lucky to have him!

We shouldn't let that get in the way of Lanzo's ambition for us to become the England D team.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

Man City would be a terrible move for him. They possibly have the best LB in the world right now so Mitchell would probably just be like Ake and get cup runouts and the occasional start in a less important game. I also think his strongest assets are still defensively, meaning he's better staying at a club that does more defending!

He certainly has a big decision in the summer. Sitting on the bench and being a bit part player at Chelsea may see him miss out on WC, so staying at Palace probably on loan would be his best option. Maybe this is my heart talking, head says he will go back

I think we need to com to terms with him going back. Picking up MOTM awards in his first England start will help confirm that he is good enough for the Chelsea 11.

The only ace might be Mr Southgate - if he told him that he would have to be playing to go the WC. A few months on the bench for Chelsea would mean 4 years waiting for the next opportunity.

It still doesn't mean that he would come back here though as there are a few Champions League clubs amongst his suitors

Very true although my opinion, only an opinion, would be that being the big fish in the littler bowl as opposed to vice versa may be beneficial for him.

Not saying that will be the case of course, however I would site perhaps Donny VdB as an example of a player who looked like the next big thing, only to move to a poor United side and then subsequently an awful Everton side. He probably yearns for the day when most people thought of him as a 'wonderkid' and not a victim of bad footballing decisions.

That said, it could all go t**ts up at any club, any season, even ours! Nothing is guaranteed after all. Here's me worrying about my life, family, work etc but woe to be a footballer and face such perils with only a few tens of thousands quid to see you through each week!

No, but any move to a new club is a risk. The one thing in our favour is he knows the club, and the manager is letting him play in a way that gets the best out of him.
