Wolves are a good side. And they were at home.

Our performance in the first half was worthy of the final 16 teams of the Champions League.....we really were that good.

Great win, and a huge 3 points, especially since City is our only other league match until April 4. Important to have those 3 points in the bank.

First half was the best we've looked all season, although some of it was due to Wolves being so poor. Second half was a little too nervy. Wolves had a lot of success with long balls down the right, I'm glad Traore wasn't there to be on the end of them.

Guaita made a great save to stop that goal when the Wolves player went in alone on him.

Mateta showed why he should start over Benteke. He works much harder, and he can finish.

Wilf was amazing on the first goal. His penalty was actually poor, and could have been saved. The one thing I miss about Luka was he was lights out on pens.

I would have brought on Ayew for Olise, he's great at relieving pressure when we're ahead.

Happy for PV. It looks like we are almost surely safe for this season, which is a huge accomplishment with all the player changes. And our goal difference is almost as good as Spurs, which shows that we've been unlucky not to have even more points.

Let's turn them over 'n' all!

Some interesting thoughts on here.

Didn't see the match, only tuned in to Sky Sports News at about 16:45 after turning over once we had gone 0-2 up and just praying for no further updates!

Feels like a massive win, and feels as though we secured an already respectable 2 goal lead and I would suspect then employed game management from then on in to secure the win. May not be overly exciting (or even true of course, just speculating) but if so that would bode very well for confidence in the management and playing staff for a professional approach/execution in games!

Good to see who was on the scoresheet today, still feel somewhat underwhelmed by JPM however remain confident that if they can get him 'in the right place' he will improve and start bagging the goals with more frequency. Ecstatic for Wilf, penalty too after the last debacle!

Feels like a massive win for us in terms of outlook for this season, I do worry about this current sides ability to deal with desperation stakes but equally that we could thrive with pressure off, and I can save on washing by keeping my red n blue on for the rest of the day.

Overjoyed! COYP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

I urge all HOLers to take a minute to read the match report on BBC Sport. You won't be disappointed.

A fantastic first half. We eased off in the second but were never in danger. With the right investment this summer we could be frightening next season.

Four unbeaten in all competitions, including three wins, and Man City up next. Let's do the double over them and then win the cup.

We only have two players that can play CF, Mateta or Ayew, i said that in the Centre Forwards thread, Edouard doesn't know how to do it and Benteke as i have stated a couple of times is complete S***e

“That’s a joke son, I say, that’s a joke.” “Nice boy, but he’s sharp as a throw pillow.” “He’s so dumb he thinks a Mexican border pays rent” “ “Son… I say, son, some people are so narrow minded they can look through a keyhole with both eyes.”__ Forhorn Leghorn

Huge result.

My god how good is Mitchell? Literally no one ever gets passed him. Back four immense tonight. How good is Guehi too?

Schluppy answered some of his critics tonight. Was awesome. Olise and Wilf combining well. I'm usually critical of Mateta but he did okay tonight. Although got lucky with his goal...big shove in the back in the lead up. And needs to learn the offside rule. Still not the answer for us, but did okay.

Luka and Hughes did well coming on to sure things up. Luka especially made crucial interceptions and tackles.

Cheers
