It'll be 0-0 until the last minute when RH finally decides to bring on a striker for Watford to try and win the game. Replacing another forward, the newly-introduced sub will then be left completely unmarked to head home from a needlessly conceded corner. RH will be hailed as a tactical genius as his relegation-threatened Hornets hang on to take all three points, while Palace are left to rue more missed chances in a game they will dominate without actually winning.

Come on, Palace! Prove me wrong!

It's actually hard to imagine any scenario other than this.

I suppose you could add that on the last minute header, the Palace defender is clearly pulled to the ground by two Watford players, but VAR doesn't bother reviewing it.

2017 Feb. (Van Aanholt) Palace 1 - 0 Middlesboro
2018 Jan. (Sako) Palace 1 - 0 Burnley
2019 May (Batshuayi, Batshuayi, OG, Van Aanholt, Townsend) Palace 5 - 3 Bournemouth
2020 Feb. (Van Aanholt) Palace 1 - 0 Newcastle

jeez, that would be funny if it wasn't so bloody likely to happen.

Final stats

Palace 15 shots, 2 on target, 0 goals
Watford 1 shot, 1 on target, 1 goal

I see the game will not be on TV tonight. In Canada on DAZN we get ALL Premiership games live...for a modest 100 pounds a year. Guess we moved to the right place. Hope the game will be worth watching but I have serious doubts

If we play a 4-2-3-1 with the same back four as Saturday, a two of Kouyate & McArthur, a three of Olise, Gallagher, Zaha and Benteke up top then a 3-1 win for Palace.

Is that some form of Joke, or Sprites of FatherKen with new names

Hopefully we play at a higher tempo as Roy will have them organised. When he managed us we were fine until teams started mixing things up and moving the ball quickly and stretching the game. For all of the changes we still often get bogged down in the left corner of the pitch. The stats in the last couple of years of Roy's tenure were a bit mad. It was almost guaranteed that if we went behind first we wouldn't win, but if we went in front we wouldn't lose. His start at Watford suggests it may be a similar pattern there so let's hope it's us who score first.

I do think Anderson will be important tonight with his cross-field passes, but Wilf and Olise need drive at their defence as I don't rate their full-backs one on one. If things don't pan out we have to respect the point, as a draw at least keeps 8 points between us and them.

I'm an idiot so the nearer I get to kick-off the more optimistic I get. Hopefully for a change it will be well founded.

Heard there's no Ward, and obviously no Ferguson, so presumably Clyne will start.

It will be
But land
Clyne Andersen Guehi Mitchell
Kouyate Hughes Gallagher
Olise Mateta Zaha

Thoughts?

You are probably right.

Personally I'd play Macca instead of Kouyate as we are likely to have most of the ball, so want more footballers on the pitch.

Sorry Chris but I have seen enough "good" performances this season that have yielded only a point, or none.

Tonight I want a win and I don't mind how we do it!
