He was superb throughout, just a pity he couldn’t cap his performance with a goal. That one on one with Pickford was a great chance and it would’ve helped his confidence no end if he could’ve found the back of the net. Still one of his best games for us though. Well done Jordan.

Yes, he has played well and particularly so in a few stand out games recently, such as WHUFC and Leeds away, as well as against Everton yesterday. He brings so much more to the team and our performances than just scoring goals (although the odd one or two would be nice )

I'm the same ... don't know why he gats lambasted every game. He has played his socks off and yesterday he was a beast ... gave the left back a torrid time and only missed out on a chance against Pickford that would have capped his performance. Great team player. COYP

For me that was his best performance ever. All the while Wilf appears to be losing pace, Ayew is getting quicker. His skill, his tackling, his commitment, his composure, all really stood out. Now I can see why PV persistently plays him. Plus he just loves the Palace.

I too had been getting frustrated with Ayew but yesterday he was outstanding. Maybe its having Gallagher there to link up with. He actually looked more dangerous going forward than Wilf on the other side.

When we win we can focus on his effort and endeavour and ignore the missed chance; when we lose that is what we focus on. He was far more direct yesterday and delivered a couple of great crosses as well as getting an assist. I've never doubted his effort and his ability to retain the ball, but this season he hasn't done enough in the areas where it really counts. Yesterday he did (albeit missing his own chance). If he can somehow regain his confidence in front of goal (or at least provide more assists) he can go on and have a great season. As someone else said, if that flick pass (not the assist) over the top to Gallagher had been a Liverpool or Man City player the commentators would have ej@culated all over their microphones.

The pundits commented on his link up play with CG, which worked really well. I agree with those posters who have suggested he brought more to the game yesterday than Wilf. Wilf has lost a yard of pace and I can't see it ever coming back - he needs to adapt his game and contribute in other ways (which, to be fair, I think he is doing). .

Think most fans have the same opinion on him, he's good at keeping the ball and drawing a foul but apart from that he offers very little, he always puts a shift in but that's the least I'd expect from a player. Had a good game yesterday but let's be honest it's a position we can quite clearly improve.
