Expect some the 'sleeping giants' to be invited to the party as more money pours in to buy them up. Then the European super league will happen. Sad times. The money pouring into the Premier league is the reason a European super league hasn't happened tho give it a couple of years and they will be trying to create an exclusive Premier league with no relegation. Let's face it, football is probably the most uncompetitive sport, you might aswell just give out league positions on owners wealth now.

This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise. |

Palace since 19 August 1972. Palace 1 (Tony Taylor) Liverpool 1 (Emlyn Hughes) |

They are welcome to the Saudi money. If Palace were bought out by such buyers it would probably be the day I stop going.

The Glaziers are just parasites who put nothing into Man United and just take. Abromovich is a dodgy businessmen as are some of the others. The new guy at Newcastle is on a whole different level of monstrosity. It just goes to show that football fans will forgive anything if they think it will bring success. I have no doubt that plenty of Palace fans would be falling over themselves to justify it if we got a similar owner. However not for me the toon army are welcome to their blood soaked money. I would stop supporting Palace if it ever happened. Edited by Badger11 (08 Oct 2021 1.00pm)

I agree massive double standards from Premier League in respect of Saudi Arabia and Qatar. Your point on arms sales is IMHO a bit of a conflation with the the purchase of a football club. What is insulting is the constant mantra that the PIF is not controlled by the government of RSA. Originally posted by rikz
It's just football, a competitive sport, nothing more. All fans should only care about their club being the best and without money that's impossible. There's no need for any politics in football, its hypocritical for the Premier league to have blm, pride and then allow Saudi owners but I don't see why Newcastle football supporters should have to be bothered about world politics when they're just supporting a football club.
Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance. |

Edited by Badger11 (08 Oct 2021 1.00pm) You mention this, i see that they have put 9.5million shares up for grabs on the NYST worth a reported $185m all due to the arrival of 'you know who'. Doubt the club/Mng will see any of it.
