Rumours of Messi being over the hill ? are deluded.

he just scored 5 for Argentina.

Time to sign for a Premier League Lionel....show us what you are really capable of.

A bit less of the 'big-fish in a small pond' might do you some good.

Kayla did Anfield & Old Trafford

He might fancy playing in red and blue again?

Seems people are quite keen to knock him down a peg or two.

I like Messi, on a personal level, I think the Barcelona Messi has cause to be thought of as one of, if not, the greatest footballers of all time. His lack of Int'l achievement or success outside of Barca may come back to haunt him or taint that debate.

The best player in the world right now? Probably not.

Would you turn him down for your team? If the answer is 'yes' or 'probably' it's either a lie or a staggering example of footballing ignorance.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

No offence Nic, but, i disagree.

Where would, if at all, would he fit into our current line up? Would we have to change our ethos/stratedgy just shoe-horn him into the team. Impact sub, different matter.

Just my thoughts/opinion.

The greatest of all time.

Nah, he's not.

Very good, indeed. But can't be considered the goat having only really delivered in Spain. (Granted, a few impressive CL performances aside.)

No you’re well entitled to that opinion no different than I mine.

My comments can be a bit zesty sometimes but if that’s your opinion fair enough. I’d put him straight in our team for what it’s worth and wait for a reason to drop him rather than vice versa, but that is just my opinion.

For me it’s all hypothetical and forever will be. He’s no Joonas Kolkka however I think it folly not to consider ol’ Lionel still one of the worlds best even if not quite the sensation he once was, again, just my opinion.

ManUre have been a disaster. Even with Ronaldo ? or because of Ronaldo ?

Messi is amazing. Sometimes that upsets the delicate balance of a team. Paris Saint Germaine ? still not winning big prizes.

Messi in the Prem ? surely this summer is his last chance to sign.

would Man City/Liverpool take him ? doubtful.

Its lacking ambition for him to stay at Paris, which he will probably do.

United have been a disaster, which has been papered over slightly BECASUE of Ronaldo. He's more than delivered...without him, his goals/hattricks...they'd be lower down than 6th I think.

The GOAT.

The GOAT.

United finished 2nd in 20/21 without him - I don't agree at all that he's improved them.

He's still a world class goalscorer, but he's got nothing else to his game anymore, and having a 37-year old as a lone striker in what is meant to be a pressing team has obvious consequences.

"A few impressive CL performances" is just being silly.

Carrying Argentina to a WC final obviously doesn't count either, nor the Copa America they won.

Fair comment Nic, no argument from me there.

Joonas Kolkka, wow, thats a name from the past. Liked him while he was here.
