I do think some slipped between the cracks regarding being allowed to stay, but on the whole I totally agree. It was an entitled 'an Englishman is home wherever he goes' type attitude that led to some not bothering to realise that countries have their own laws and processes. Some couldn't be bothered to file a few forms by a set date and are now living the consequences of a situation they put themselves in. Maybe they should've left voting to people who can be bothered to actually still live in the country . Edited by BlueJay (02 Jul 2021 11.46pm) Lol - no change from this site really. Some of the most vocal critics of this country, of the result (either way), of the people, of what’s going on etc don’t actually live in this country. I voted remain but accepted the result (a long time ago) and want us to move on and get the best outcome. We need to stop revisiting old arguments from either side and suggesting that anything good/bad is as a result Brexit/EU and vice versa. What feels rather ironic to me is that the most vocal critics seem to be from people who buggered off abroad for, I assume, a better life. The irony is that most appear to have done that whilst we were in the EU - so regardless of remain or leave - it was always better away from the UK it seems.

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance. |

If you ever voted for Labour when Corbyn was leader you have IMHO no right to talk about Jews and / or anti-semitism. If you didn't then this post does not apply Originally posted by silvertop
