The same 2 only slightly thicker. Difference being, they wont show them now, until the decision has been made, then they show on screen to public/tv Indeed. So they use two…the same as our PL VAR’s. They just don’t show them on TV whilst they are checking the decision (which is bizarre, because both the decision and the process should be transparent and it doesn’t affect how long it takes to calculate). Edited by Phil’s Barber (21 Jun 2021 5.06pm) Well, as i understand it, ALL the powers that be in England agreed to this, mainly to eliviate the pressure on the 'match official' as n when he may have to go 'look' at the monitor, which btw, WILL happen a lot more next season. There is a meeting with the 'Elite' group of refs & those considered worthy of note to be included in their ranks come March, to outline the changed format. Its believed that this is also the 1st step of doing away with 'Assistant Refs' in the next few seasons in the top flight. What becomes of it all, is anyones guess, bearing in mind that only the 30 'Elite Group' refs are professional, not like all the others who only get a 'match fee'.
This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise. |

PVA having an excellent tournament for Netherlands. And in his best position in my opinion. the old left half spot. Is he going or staying can't work it out.

So If we win we (probably) play Germany. (or France/Portugal, but I think France will beat Portugal) If we Draw, worst case is Spain (but could be Sweden/Slovakia) If we Lose we get either Netherlands, Belgium or Spain (as above...but could be Sweden/Slovakia) Personally, i'm fed up of playing teams we're expected to do well against. want to see us play a Big Gun. Hopefully then

Strange fact. Of the 4 semi finalists in 1976, 3 no longer exist. Only The Netherlands remain. West Germany, Czechoslovakia and Yugoslavia all gone.
Living down here does have some advantages. At least you can see them cry. |
