That Tommy Robinson line is shameful. A woman was murdered by a policeman and people were paying respects.

There’s more outrage on here at people gathering for a vigil then outrage at what actually happened.

This place is always full of horrendous takes on things but this might just be the worst yet.

Always the double standard for Tommy Robinson.

It will never be forgotten that while Robinson was shouting about grooming gangs the people you support were shouting 'racist'.

For fecking years.

I don’t think he’s had his trial yet.

Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham

Yes I didn’t believe this ‘Almost all women have experienced sexual harassment’ claim either. Causes a lot of issues claiming this.

I find myself seeing the point of view of all sides on this subject. But it was only a matter of time until the office professionals and of course most virtuous felt like they were being unfairly treated. And if this was a lady somewhere up north it wouldn’t have been the big news story because they never are. It’s probably more risky out at night because of lockdown/restrictions. And the Labour Welsh first minister wants a 6pm curfew for men.

Unfortunately one on one male on female crimes have been happening for ever, but gang rape and grooming like we’ve seen hasn’t. Well it almost completely hasn’t.

Yep, they certainly think they are virtuous.
But they just ignore any statistics that suggest that their beliefs worsen outcomes.

It's like these activist groups, they will create surveys that are framed in a way so that they can state the outcomes that fit their agenda.

And then the useful idiots lap it up.

Yup and I already said I understand the anger of the protestors. However it is clear that some people (politicians) are only outraged at the police when they sympathise with the cause of the protestors.

The police have a difficult job and yet they are constantly being undermined by the establishment who should support them. Don't forget the court said the vigil was illegal. Don't like the law then change it.

Jesus Christ. All they were doing was trying to pay respect and lay flowers for a murdered woman.

Take a look at yourself lads.

More imbecilic stuff from you.

This was an illegal gathering during a pandemic.

What exactly are these people doing there anyway?
This is just another event hijacked by agenda driven idiots who are bored with being in lockdown and want to let off a bit of steam.

Suddenly all of woman kind is in danger of being murdered every time they go out? Utterly paranoid twaddle.
And you support this despite being the first person on here to baulk when it is suggested that Britain has become more dangerous because of immigration.

This country has gone bonkers.

Disgraceful behaviour last night they should be ashamed of themselves, the politicians I mean not the police.

The usual media hogging politicians were eager to condemn the police for their heavy handed actions at the vigil.

What were the police supposed to do?

The high court said it was illegal and in fairness to the organisers they cancelled it. However several hundred people attended and so the police had to act.

All those who think the police were wrong what if this was a peaceful Tommy Robinson vigil or a pro Trump rally? Would you be complaining I think not.

The police had been criticised for not enforcing the law in the last year so during this lockdown they have. Dammed if you do dammed if you don't.

Yet again the police are thrown under a bus by the politicians I wonder why they bother.

I normally agree with a lot of stuff you say, but holding a vigil is completely reasonable.

It's completely different to other lockdown protests we've had. For a start, it's a vigil, secondly, it's not only being held in the same country as the crimes happened, but also the same town. Women have a right to peacefully show how important their feelings are.

I'm just a bit disappointed how other crime and murders in London are being overlooked. The murder of a white woman was an opportunity bring peoples attention to just how unsafe areas of South London are. Other murders in the same area are being over looked, because the same people who were ramming BLM down everything through after George Floyd's death don't are now dismissing the deaths of young black children in the same area as not as important as a white woman because the young black kids were probably involved in gangs.

Seems like events have been hijacked by those with a political ideology again. Middle class politically active Karen from Berkshire is grabbing this as an opportunity to criticise all men for some prick cat calling her.... whilst kids are getting murdered in London.

Nobody there last night is going to look good. Anybody with any sense could take a few moments to realise whether people at a protest are going to cause trouble or not and it’s not that difficult to avoid it.

I'm sure Sarah would be pleased to know that this is going to be her epitaph.

Apparently they were paying their respects.

A crowd is now in Trafalgar square.

Get over yourself. Wheres the vigil for the raped girls who TR highlighted. Knowhere because its not on the agenda to tell the truth if it involves anything that might offend minorities.

Well quite. Systematic grooming for decades all helped along rather nicely by senior management in both the police and local government and not a peep out of the 'sistas'.

And a little bit closer to home, how many Princesses turned up to lay flowers for this poor girl in yet another large London park?

[Link]

What happened to that poor lady who was kidnapped and then murdered was an utter disgrace. A terrible tragedy. But let's not pretend that the fact that she was white, blonde, middle class and a graduate, along with the fact that her alleged killer looked like a poster boy for Gammonhood, and a serving cop to boot, makes it somehow how fine to protest, and in doing so breaking the current laws pertaining to covid, what happened to her but just wish that all the others could be brushed under the carpet because, when all is said and done, diversity is our strength.

Utter hypocrisy of the worst kind.

I loathe any man who subjects a woman to any kind of abuse. But I also extend that heart felt desire to protect, and protest when it does not happen, across the board. Perhaps one of the few areas of my life in which I am not 'racist' in the modern sense of the word.
