Townsend deserves to come back in and I'd bring Mitchell back in as PvA has been so bad of late. Surely Batshuayi can't start again? Or Dann. If we had two good strikers then 4-4-2 offers something, but without Wilf it is almost like we might as well be playing with 9 men.

If Wilf is out again then give Eze a free role behind Mateta, Andros on the left, Ayew on the right. That would give us three ball carriers and a striker who at least is an unknown quantity and not a known liability!

As long as Roy tries to use some imagination then I can forgive us losing as given our injury list it is really unlikely we'll get a result whatever we do. What I couldn't forgive is just setting up the same way as at Burnley and Leeds and expecting things to change.

I reckon the best we can hope for is a 0-0. Only the most blinkered can see they play good football, but luckily for us, and as the MOTD analysts point out, they waste endless chances in front of goal. I dunno, 5 minutes ago we were alright and now we're sh!te...

Also worth noting that if Fulham beat both Burnley and Sheff. Utd. then Brighton would be 2 points outside the drop zone heading into our game. That would add a nice edge to our game.

I just seen a very interesting stat regarding Brighton so I am changing my prediction to a 2 nil win to us.

I believe I will be in a state of frog-eyed frenzy if we go behind to an early goal.

Having a self imposed ban on attending games at the Amex any more, maybe I should also ban myself from watching it on tv....

I shall start to watch the game but if we start losing are abject and being outplayed the television remote control will have the OFF button pressed forcibly with 'Yours truly' hyperventilating and self-combusting.

I have been in contact with a few of our supporters and EVERY one expects Brighton to win.

Well, they are not conceding at the moment and Wilfless us are not scoring and shipping bucketloads so work it out from that

I am sure that Brighton will be well up for this given that a win will put them above us and push us into the bottom 6. Whether we will be up for it remains to be seen.

given the last two results I'd imagine Roy will focus even more on defensive shape to attempt to nullify Brighton, and limit our self-inflicted wounds, so it's hard to imagine we'll have much of an attacking threat. Scraping a 1-0 at best. Would settle for 1-1. Optimistic I know.

If they treat it as a rivalry and we ponce about then it could be 3-0 to them. Considering how utterly rubbish Burnley are then why not more?

Football is a funny aul game and when you look at Brighton's recent form which includes beating Liverpool and Spurs you would think they are nailed on to give us a big beating (which in my anger after Saturday I said they would).

Then when you look at Brightons home form you realise that there is a reason they will be fighting relegation right till the end. Over the last couple of years the only reason Brighton have stayed in the divison is because they always manage to get some great away results against the top clubs.

Brighton won 1 game at home in the whole of 2020 (Arsenal) and now they have won 1 game at home in 2021 (Tottenham) both of these games they have had lot less possesion than they usually have and it proves the fact that Brighton do not win many games when they more of the ball. This is not going to change overnight in their favour.

Brighton always struggle against teams when they have more possesion which they will certainly have more of against us, so that coupled with the fact that their home form is dysmal is the reason I am going for a Palace win here.
