We've won 2 in 10. The wins came against the teams in 19th and 20th.

Not really the point being made that he is a miracle worker, financial we are not able to compete with the many of the clubs in the league. In terms of finance the big six are way out ahead of us add in Everton, Newcastle, West Ham and more recently Leicester at the next level down. Brighton, Aston Villa and Wolves have owners who have stuck fortunes into the clubs. That leaves really us in league with Fulham , West Brom , Sheffield United, Leeds, Southampton and Burnley as we have been in the premier for a longer time and had more time to build the squad it would be a fair point to say that we should be a the top of that group, if we had Danny Ings rather then Beneteke we might be.
As I was saying with Eaglescoop money doesn’t necessarily buy you success but there is going to be a good relationship between a club financial clout and where it ends up. No guarantee you not going to spend your £40-50m on Jolinton and not Aubameyang and no guarantee for £8-16, we are not going to get Sorloth and not Eze but at least with more money you usually at least get a better quality of mistake. Ok I’m stretching the point a bit but if you predicted the league based on turnover you probably won’t be to0 far off how it ends up.
Teams with the big ideas and approaches have come and gone Swansea lovely passing possession football, Watford’s international network of clubs, Bournemouth big money owner, Sheff United over lapping centre back and organized chaos, Brighton’s data analytics approach. Wolves super agents are dropping rapidly and Leeds murder ball style might be great it might be disastrous the best that can be said about it at the moment is fantastic when it works but very fragile.
Roy is not a miracle worker he is very competent high level manager who does the tried and tested very well and I’m not sure who else we would get in at our level with our budget who would do better.

Equally, I think it's embarrassing that some think we should be a top 5 team.

The best bit about Everton and West ham spending money is they get rid of the dependable workman like players they have 'upgraded'. We buy them on the cheap and get a good dependable player with Prem experience!

Like Tomkins, Kouyate and McCarthy? If so, yep helped our cause a lot.

That basically sums it up especially if people focus on 'our level' and 'our budget'.

Such a delicate flower aren’t you. I certainly don’t hate Roy Hodgson, why are you always so dramatic? I hate his style of football and believe he should be doing better - try to keep up.

To me, you are just blind to his inefficiencies and in lots of cases make up narratives to support your own agenda. I’m still unsure if you are just on the windup.

You blame the manager and I blame the squads ability, in order for our club to be sitting where it is in this league requires the entertainment we receive, we will actually play well again against Man.C because they will allow us time to breath on the ball ..it'll be the case of how many miss passes we make or as you feel how many cock ups our manager makes that will determine our fate nothing more nothing less.

Nothing wrong with ambition - whereas some on here seem quite happy to "tread water" and not progress.

Problem with "treading water" is that ultimately you will run out of energy and sink..!!
