So soldiers can die for their freedom but the public can't. I find that quite a strange thought process as when the soldiers all die because there aren't enough they come for you anyway. Would you not want to at least try to prevent that!
Bottom line danh we've all got it coming.
Sadly these events in Plymouth took some too early.

We were a part of the f*ck up so it’s only fair we take the refugees now no?

Surely it makes sense for them to be re-located / live in the local area? There is loads of empty land in that region - pakistan, Saudi Arabia etc - millions of miles of it. Plus the weather will be more what they are used to, as well as the food and culture.
Why would you brink someone thousands of miles to put then in some suburb of Glasgow or Gateshead or Margate, where they are faced with all the western evils such as alcohol, same sex marriages, equal rights for women and bacon (and eggs)?

Dan, this is where you are so wrong. Most are not refugees, they are economic migrants. Can you tell me how we f***ed up in Gabon, Ivory Coast and Gambia? These nationals are arriving over the Channel on a daily basis. Gatwick are inundated with “refugees” ( economic migrants) from Honduras. Bizarrely they travel via Spain but don’t want to stay there. How have we f***ed up in Honduras.
You really need to start to understand that a high percentage are not refugees

I’m talking about those having to flee Afghanistan now.

I doubt many of those have reached France yet. Don’t forget they will have travelled through several safe countries where they could/should have claimed “asylum” My wife goes to the coast on a regular basis, believe me only a very few are Afghans, Syrians, Iraqis. Try Bangladeshi, pakistani Indian and most African countries. I do feel extremely sorry for those who acted as interpreters for the forces and have been hung out to dry, that is disgraceful

Asylum seakers don’t have to stay in the first safe country.

Cogent points.

But people like Dan don't care about that....It's about the 'global village'.

Just as long as those people don't personally suffer any of the negative consequences of disparate communities.....as few of them actually live or stay in those areas.

No, they should be staying in your house.

I'd consider supporting your policy if people like you took these people into their houses and kept them instead of forcing the taxpayer to pay for the world's problems.

So the Taliban have the balls to fight.

But everybody else doesn't.

Oh there is so much there in that mindset.
