Theres a recent piece on bbc's football web page about the ref from 'that' match in 86 who is Ali Bin Nasser, 76, from Tunisia. He states he is 'proud & happy' to have helped the drug taking cheat win that game against England.

Says it all really.

This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise.

Fenwick or Sansom should have taken him out.

What a fantastic commentary from Bryon Butler.

I know little about his history same as the rest of us.
I thought that the Hand of God was a disgrace but there again all footballers cheat every game and every week so this was just a bit worse.
He came from real slums where you did whatever it took to pull yourself up.
He couldn't go anywhere without being mobbed.
His life was never his own.
He was badly advised by blood suckers only interested in themselves.
George Best and Paul Gascoigne were/are similar.
Maradona was an amazing footballer - I saw him play at Wembley in 1980 - and a joy to watch.
He was badly let down but was flawed so it was easy for people to shaft him.
Let's watch his goals and skills and be thankful that we saw him play.
Forgive and forget

It's a clickbait headline. yes the interview is cringe worthy but what he actually says he is proud for judging the advantage calls right for that fabulous solo goal.

My interpretation of the article is different ... the ref said he was proud and honoured to have witnessed Maradona's second goal.

He couldn’t see the handball (Maradonna's first goal) and looked towards his assistant who didn’t flag for it.

He praised the behaviour and reaction of the English players and also said he would have liked the game to have ended in a draw.

Before you criticise someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticise them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

The ST sport section today had articles from Graeme
Souness, Peter Schmeichel and rugby's Johny Owen.

All had met the man and were all very positive about him being the best ever. Especially PS.

All you labelling him a cheat, then label every pro footballer the same. All will get away with whatever they can.
