If this had been a Muslim teacher beheaded by a far right activist I wonder what the TV and Internet media stories would all be about. Firstly, there would be stories about the prevalence of far right terrorism. There have been no media pieces on the prevalence of Islamic terrorism. The face of the victim would be on every front page and the background of every news broadcast. This teacher was shown once, briefly. Although social media did not remove the video of his killing quickly at all. You could watch the killer holding up his head if you had wanted. You probably still can. Then BLM and everything else would blame it on the usual societal and systematic racism. Has wider Islamic culture or lack of integration been questioned at all due to this. Also the perpetrator would be filmed and shown all the time - even if shot dead we'd still be seeing it. Again the attacker rarely shown at all. Wouldn't want to whip up society's inherent racism would we? If anyone cannot see this, they must have lost their sight. This is now just standard media procedure. To be devil's advocate, I guess if they followed the Syllabus, they would. There are probably a lot more Muslim teachers in France than there are in Ireland. To be devil's advocate, I guess if they followed the Syllabus, they would. There are probably a lot more Muslim teachers in France than there are in Ireland. I suspect we probably could count the Muslim teachers in the Education system on one hand. There would be loads of Arabic teachers at Mosques though, of course.

France has withdrawn its Ambassador from Turkey following a speech by Edogan slagging off Macron over his comments following this attack last week.

Really interesting response so far, at least in France. They are not letting this one just fade away like they usually do.
