Why buy a forward when we have Wickham already. I’m expecting both he and Sakho will be offered improved terms this summer. And Roy. They’ll all be here when they’re 50.

I think, considering the current financial frailties and economy as a whole, clubs will not be buying unnecessarily unless they can get rid of players. I can’t see any of our players leaving this window therefore can’t see at coming in. Hopefully with several of our underperforming big wage earners out of contract in June, it may free up some wiggle room for fresher younger talent to come to the club in Jan. With Sakho, Tekkers and CW , Meyer (?) hopefully being shown the door this summer, that’s got to free up iro 250k a week

Agreed. I think we will consider offers this window for any of those 4. I can’t see many takers though. They should all be shown the door in Yhe summer.

He wouldn’t have got a look in on a match day squad anyway! I would much rather Banks got slowly introduced to the first team set up than bring another youngster with potential in that position. Good that Meyer is now off the books. Good player but no point keeping him at the club if he’s not likely to play. £170 a week saved!
