Never looked into Bobby and MLK but nothing around Ruby's involvement was that unusual when you look at it. If the mob had killed Kennedy it would have leaked.....besides, Oswald wasn't involved with the mob, he had far more connections with Russia and Cuba. It is entirely possible that the mob had connections to the American secret service and might have had a mutual interest in killing JFK.

Na....as the Chinese say, 'three people can keep a secret, if two of them are dead'.....people in the mob viewed death as part of the territory and something that big would leak....Nothing of substance over sixty years....and huge numbers of people dug. From what I remember mob bosses were secretly recorded on audio and they were surprised as anyone. Edited by Stirlingsays (15 Mar 2020 10.03pm)

However, political figures being murdered does not equal conspiracy. Like everything else, evidence is needed to overcome Occam's razor. If you believe in these conspiracies then explain why to us. I'm not beyond being convinced.....besides....Epstein didn't kill himself.

Ex President Ford who sat on the Warren Commission summed it up for me when he was asked about the conspiracy theories. He said that of course the commission received all sorts of intel from the public but they could only investigate evidence and the only evidence they received pointed to Oswald as the lone gunman. That of course if the beauty of conspiracy theories you can say anything you like and not have to pro your theory. For example there is a discrepancy between Oswald's height as recorded by his Marine medical record and his autopsy. Conspiracy theorists say this proves Oswald was a doppelgänger, no it doesn't it proves there is a discrepancy between the 2 medical records. The cause of that discrepancy is unproven and may relate to a simple clerical error. As Stirlingsays people cannot keep their mouth's shut and by now if there was a conspiracy somebody would have talked and backed it up with hard evidence. There is plenty of real evidence that Oswald was a disgruntled wannabe who failed at most things in life and thought he was destined for greatness. Edited by Badger11 (16 Mar 2020 8.37am)

Edited by Badger11 (16 Mar 2020 8.37am) Yep, that seemed to be the most likely conclusion. Oswald took his chance when it arrived to kill an establishment figure. It seemed that it was less about Kennedy and more about attacking a system he'd failed in and resented. There is strong speculation that he had made a failed attempt on a general earlier and that he was essentially a bomb waiting to go off. There have always been figures like Oswald and probably always will be. When I started looking into the case the 'back and to the left' nature of the shooting was a strong factor for me in suspecting a front oriented shooting position. But after looking into old war time and animal research into how the brain reacts to bullets even that suspicion went. Basically massive nerve shock makes the body move erratically. The autopsy wounds also support the bullets having come from Oswald's position. Then you discover that huge amount of disinformation that exists seemingly to support a conspiracy theory and you get the idea that people want to believe the conspiracy more than what's more probable. When people speak out, no one ever believes them, especially if it doesn't fit with their own theories. People keep secrets for a lifetime. The idea that you can't keep secrets is a myth. Look at D Day or the Manhatten Project. Why on earth would Jack Ruby, who had mob connections, shoot Oswald on live TV unless he was highly motivated? It makes no sense at all. If you can look at that and believe that he did it out of some sort of respect for JFK then you would believe anything. It was a hit and a very public one designed to silence Oswald using a man they knew would never talk.

As for Ruby, I don't really find it difficult to think that he killed Oswald out of sentiment or spur of the moment resentment. The evidence for the mob killing Kennedy.....I just don't see it myself. Again, looking at Oswald, it doesn't fit and the evidence for the front shooters....the grassy knoll just isn't there. But hey, I could be wrong.
