I used to get called 'Putih' all the time.

TBH coming from someone living in the flaccid borehole that is Skaterham that's a bit rich. I’m not in Caterham for the bright lights and 5* nightlife, and neither would I in Croydon. For the small positives I’m missing in Croydon I’m glad to be away from all the negatives. Attitude, rudeness, danger. I lived in Croydon for a bit close to east Croydon because of the rail links. It’s not missed. In fact Caterham is no different from any of the small towns in South Croydon. Purley, selsdon, Coulsdon. Oh apart from there’s no knives and not a single bit of lip from anybody here because they’re here to be away from it, which I’ve heard people say, or glad they’re away from it. I don’t know what benefit there is of getting to Croydon about 10 minutes faster than I can but there you go, plus I can bypass the place and be in London in 25 from upper Warlingham station. If going out in either I’m about 10 mins later than someone in Croydon or not at all if I know the train times. Caterham isn’t for ever for me anyway but there’s zero hassle, it’s nice and quiet in certain parts without constant traffic which pisses me off no end. I dare say if there was any trouble near one of the pubs then the builders inside will stamp it and then out, or we’ll all keep moving South seeing as there’s nothing to be missed, unless Boxpark is something I’m depriving myself of. Actually I’d probably like Boxpark but I intend to experience world food at its origin and I can get off a train and go there any time. Really I meant all the pubs and good craic has gone out of Croydon compared to times past. It used to be good. Edited by Rudi Hedman (28 Jan 2020 7.49pm)

certainly lucky to not have been at East Croydon Stn yesterday afternoon. Stormzy’s old grafting area, the lovely man he is. I was the victim of a drive by egging years before this shyte. 4 hoodlums in hoodies. Did think they had a gun for a second when they pulled up in the car. Lived north of SP a while back. Again, didn’t really venture much away from the same pub and stuff and probably wouldn’t now unless it was Crystal Palace triangle. Unless you’re going out loads with a busy social life then there’s no real benefit of living in a lively area and you may as well just live somewhere a bit nicer and go into the lively area when you go out. Nearly every time I walk to SP I see an argument start with Palace in a car and a local youth in a car. One day something bad is going to happen.
