Absolutely brilliant striker's performance from Ayew, in every aspect of the game. Given the lone striker role and he's seized the opportunity. Benteke, watch and learn. United are so reliant on pace that I think we've got a good chance of holding onto this by staying deep and compact.

His hold up play has been second to none and a cool calm finish.

I’m interested to see his performance. He’s very useful when there’s open spaces around and chasing players down. I’m interested in this hold up play because it’s usually non existent. I’m not sure about being the top man at home from the start though, same as Gayle wasn’t, but the only alternative is Benteke wardrobe or rusty Wickham.
