You have to see who clubs pay that kind of money for. They only buy 20-22 year olds. Man United paid for AWB who was 21. Arsenal bought Tierney who was 22. City brought back Angelino at 22. Leicester bought 21 year old James Justin. Bournemoth bought 22 year old Stacey. Wolverhampton bought Jonny from Atletico Madrid at 23. The eldest who I can find is Clyne, bought by Liverpool when he was recently 25. And they didn't even pay 20 million for him, but 17 million. Considering KWP will be that age 2 years from now, I find it hard to believe he will be a possible bringer of more than what is paid for him. The best possible scenario is that he becomes a stable Palace player for 10 years, like Ward. And that is not a bad thing, but not worth 15 million. When you bring in a player for the next 10 years, you really have to weight it good and bring in the best option.

But surely if he has a couple of seasons like AWB, he will still only be 24, his resale value COULD reach £50-£55million, now that would be good business. Let’s not forget AWB had lasted less than 1 full season as a RB

What about the other Kyle Walker, aged 27 when he moved for £50m
The Queen supports Crystal Palace. Perhaps she'll buy the club then legitimately all the money in England shall be ours. Plus all the swans. |

I'm referring to players from smaller or mid-table PL teams. Palace will not be a Top 6 team to ask for that money.

Oh come on behave. At 22 he would be one of the youngest buys we have made for a defender in recent years. I think now is a time to draw a line because it's counter argument after counter argument. He's a good promising player who would walk into the first team at just 22 years of age. He has pace, he's fine going forwards, he has good pedigree. We could do so much worse. Matteo you don't like him, some of us do. Agree to disagree. Now let's talk about how bad Tosun is for us lol

“I know the club is working hard and I am optimistic and hopeful that we will be able to bring Kyle in. I think he is a very talented player and I think we would benefit from his services.” - Hodgson Looking very likely now.

A young player with huge potential. It is easier to fix/improve defensive ability than develop a players attacking intent. If he is still at Spurs at 22 he must have something about him. I’d be happy with this one.
