The difference between Rangers and a prem side isn't necessarily a huge gap when you compare starting 11s between the two, but it does majorly open up when you look at things like squad depth, star players and wage bill.

As someone who watches quite a bit of Rangers I think they probably have about 5 or 6 players who could comfortably slot into this league given the chance - Morelos is one of them.

Other players they've signed like Scott Arfield, Davis, Defoe & McGregor have all done well down In England and would likely get a game for most lower half sides (although Defoe is probably a bit too old for that now).

Then you look at guys like Tavernier, Kamara, Aribo & the Croatian internationals who have all been tracked by prem sides at various points, and I think probably most of those would be able to make the step up between the leagues too.

I believe they don't have a bad starting 11, but would likely not be able to compete with prem sides over the course of a season. It's definitely possible over 90 minutes though.

For the record I think Morelos would do well for us and we should sign him up as the asking price isn't too high and it's just a matter of time before he ends up in the prem anyway IMO.
