I’ve watched it thanks. Weird trying to justify it.

What would you think if it was a female TR supporter with leaflets then danh.
Or a labour MP who escorted her out in the same manner.
Political aleigance is showing on responses.

Seems like a lot of people offended by this are only offended because it aligns with their political views.

Prescott punched a protester a few years back. It served the protester right too. He'd just chucked an egg at a stranger and seemed surprised when he got punched for it.

The Tory was right to throw a protester out of a private function. She shouldn't have been there, she's not hurt and it wont have a long term impact on her.

I would question what Greenpeace would hope to achieve by breaking into a private function and telling the people their they had to consider the environment more. I cant see how this would benefit their cause. Seems like the real motivation for turning up was because they wanted to stop people they don't like from having a nice evening. Reasonable people wouldn't act like that. Good to see them getting kicked out.

7 pages and we all still missing the real question here.

Would you do the protester?

Posh bird in an evening gown? big yes from me.

Have already relieved myself twice watching the video of her being manhandled.

If I had my way i'd really give her something to protest about.

Interesting and topical thread trivialised.

I never realised those were the rules. I work more than full time - usually about 70 hours a week yet manage my time to protest about issues I value.

My take on this is that it shows just how bonkers this nation has become. You chuck a milkshake at a low level politico and its assault. You manhandled a woman in an evening dress who was clearly part of an organised climate change demonstration and you are some sort of hero.

We increasingly are living in a world where those who mutter darkly about government and press intrusion now spend hours with an ear to the wall hoping to catch a tit bit of scandal from next door.

Oooh 70 hours. Do you want a medal?

Dunno how you can say it's ok to chuck milkshake about and then say it's not ok to remove an aggressor.

I'm sure you do make time to go about the place being a pest and ruining others' days. Some dick glues themselves to a train so a hundred odd passengers have to get out and jump into taxis. Great for the environment.

Sound logic. They're all there just to be a nuisance, got f*** all to do with the cause.

"I know what'll win people to our cause, let's bugger up their day". That'll work.

I guess the question is, how important was that client meeting really? How important is anything that we do, compared to the bigger picture issues we are facing.

*notable exceptions for people that actually ‘do’ things ie tradespeople, chefs, nurses, baristas etc

Pretty important as a renewal was due and although we could afford to lose the contract it wouldn't have been ideal. Lose another after that unexpectedly before 2020 and it gets tight, you never know in terms of redundancies etc.

As it is, they're a good client and we do a good job, but nobody needs an excuse for a black mark against their names. f***ing idiot protestors.

Are you totally oblivious to the fact that both milkshake throwers and demonstrating invaders are doing something wrong?

They are not the victims.

How do you protest then when you want to see change?
