Living in Bristol a few of my mates are Exeter fans and I went a few times. Watkins is quality could absolutely make the step up in my opinion!

Brighton have spent some £60 Mill in this window but will recoup a sizeable amount if Dunk departs.

IF they sell Dunk.

Unlike Pakace of course who have already gpt 50 million from awb but spent 2.5million.

But can see you point lolol

Hi Willo. As a matter of interest, what makes you think Palace were never interested in Maupay? A very good goal poacher for a decent price in today’s market? We really need a ‘Fox in the box’ especially As Batshuayi looks like he will stay at Chelsea?

apparently their new manager, Potter, likes playing 3 at the back. So doubt they'll sell Dunk as it'll probably be him, Duffy and Webster as the back 3.

The difference is that the owners of Palace have stopped investing, so we have to sell to buy. If Brighton need to spend the Penguin just waddles into his Penguindome with another suitcase full of mysteriously obtained cash, which will subsequently appear in their accounts as "community projects" and "infrastructure improvements" or the like. Plus they have a much lower wages to income percentage than us, meaning we have to move high earners on before signing more high earners.

Can you hear the Brighton sing? I can't hear a ******* thing!

Have you considered Mastermind, specialising in the bleedin' obvious?

You made a point that we have received considerably more than we've spent, so far, unlike Brighton who've spent more than they've received. My response was that, due to current lack of investment, and our overblown wages bill, we need to sell to buy; Brighton don't. I can't see what's difficult to understand about that.

Going back to Watkins and Maupay, I find myself wondering why their former manager Dean Smith hasn't signed them up for Villa within their spending spree.

His view may be that neither are ready for the Premiership and possibly that they never will be .....

Or maybe there is a clause in his contract that forbids him from buying any player from Brentford for a few years? Both of them look good enough to be given a chance at the prem & Maupay, for me, is the better of the 2.
