Thanks Stirlingsays
One of the biggest mysteries in life is that loud stupid people normally don't have even the slightest inclination that they are stupid. |

Taylor lost that fight but was given the decision.

How Smith makes that weight.....he looked a couple of divisions bigger than the opponent......Good KO.

Something just didn't seem right with AJ.....he was blowing at the end of the first round......His energy levels were terrible as was his punch resistance.

i didn't see that coming,.... ,...and unfortunately, neither did Joshua. Hopefully this might shake up the division to get some proper fights going. However, Ruiz is likely to cherry-pick his opponents for the next few fights, to delay the inevitable smashing by Fury or Wilder. Bad day at the office for Joshua. Bet he wishes he'd gone for Fury or Wilder now. All that bollox about him having the belts during fight negotiations has just come back and bitten him massively on the @r5e. That was a turn up for the books. I have a feeling he never recovered from those first two knock downs. Possibly concussed. He seemed well out of it, and confused during discussions with his corner between rounds. That again AJ couldn't seem to figure out how to hit Ruiz without getting hit on the counter from the start. Styles make fights and all that and he was exposed to a degree. Maybe he's have better luck in the rematch if it happens. He'd probably still be favourite to win it even though he lost.

He signed that megabucks deal so maybe it hasn't hit him too hard in the pocket. It is a shame though that we didn't get to see him against Fury or Wilder instead of losing like this. Those fights will probably happen at some point anyway, but losing against a massive underdog definitely won't have been in his plans!

Extremely humble in defeat. The loss is reminiscent of Lennox. Pretty sure he will come back and win rematch etc. These defeats should never be that surprising. Fights are after all a two horse race. They pretty much all lose at some stage, even the greats. In many ways a defeat may make a Wilder fight easier to make.

I haven't seen the fight but I am not surprised he lost. AJ has not impressed me for a number of fights now I think he was lacking motivation. Lennox Lewis had a similar problem and struggled against the lesser opponents. I expect AJ will get his head together and win the rematch comfortably. This is a warning to Eddie Hearn he must make the big fights otherwise AJ will fritter his career away.

I am shocked that he lost to Ruiz but AJ has not impressed me either in some recent fights. There will be question marks now about his punch resistence and whether he really is as good as many believe.Looks a bit Brunoesque with that physique and the fact that he looks a bit robotic at times.Major shock akin to Tyson v Douglas.
