Steve Parish is a buisinss man and fan . I am sure he has got this under control and will make an announcement soon . The trouble is we as fans are not going to be the first to get the truth I am sure this will soon unfold . And in my opinion it might be for the best as don’t think the Americans were in it for the long term .

Perhaps the timing is perfect if your view is we are all but safe this season. To create the longest available window to sell their shares in a club without fear of relegation. From say now until at least Xmas.

Get real. Even with a billionaire owner that will never happen. Trust methe 'establishment' do not want Little old Crystal Palace getting too big for their boots. Obstacles will be placed in the way of that kinfd of forward progress at every turn. Not that the club would ever have the money to compete on that level anyway.

We won't compete with 34k in a half built stadium. That was the point of what I said.

Chelsea was a middle of the road team until Abramovich came along. City had spent years in the lower leagues.

It takes super rich owners and a desire for success. Why not Palace?

This could well be the problem that the Americans are businessmen and Steve is a bit of both. The reality is you can only drive forward on one premise that of a business man or of a fan otherwise your decision making process becomes confused. Maybe the board has reached this point and as Steve is one of ‘ the founder members’ the Americans realise that this combination is not going to be good for business. Either way we will not survive long term in the Premiership without constant injection of player investment which needs cash.
Problem is the cash investors will always want a return.

We're a two-bob club (in the grand scheme) currently doing bloody well given our history.
No SP isn't perfect, i'll guess that he'd admit the same, but he has the helm and he's doing more than a fine job while continually learning, imo.
Rightly or wrongly, until we move we're always be a two-bob club in a very very big city.

That's a shame.

agree with you, but the new stand would make us at least 2 and 6 - the ground is presently a joke, with the new stand it would not be, we wouldn't compete with the top 4 but we would not be nearly so two bob

agree, too bad we couldn't have partnered with the Fulham owner, Shahid Khan, he seem's real sports guy with a long term view. I saw him at Palace once when we had the American cheerleaders over, but he probably thought the ground was so poor it wasn't worth the effort. I expect he will eventually move Fulham and have a big piece of prime real estate to develop

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.

The evening standard states 18 percent in this article. Is that made up?

Both Bloomberg and the Financial Times have reported that American owners Josh Harris and David Blitzer are considering sell their stakes in Crystal Palace.

Since December 2015, the pair have both owned 18 per cent of the Eagles, the same as chairman Steve Parish, and the trio control the club in a general partnership structure.

They are joined by a number of other investors in a limited partnership that includes CPFC2010 shareholders, Stephen Browett, Jeremy Hosking and Martin Long.

I've got mixed feelings about a zillionaire buy out - though Wolves fans don't seem to be compaining too much, I love the way the club has become more close knit and local over the last twenty years or so, it's that which has provided the old school 'famous atmosphere'. And when I said 'top 4' I meant top 4 in London btw. We used to be generally considered a sleeping giant pre-Noades - big games and derbies would regularly get 40k+ crowds, and not just when we were in divsion one, if a new owner does come in I hope they understand that, even Pulis spoke of the chance to 'grow' the club, just hope the vision comes from people like Parrish who understand the soul of the club - I don't think he'll sell to mercenarires though. but this all just idle spec atm

As I said earlier I doubt whether it will be easy to sell a minority stake to someone who will be happy leaving control in the hands of Steve Parish.

I have no doubt that there are all sorts of legal agreements between the shareholders about what would happen in the event of one or more of the shareholders wanting out but it would be pointless to hazard a guess what they say.

As a matter of interest the club's accounts are due to be published by no later than 31st March and I wonder if they are going to publish on time or whether there will be more threats of dissolution by Companies House
