Steve Parish is a buisinss man and fan . I am sure he has got this under control and will make an announcement soon . The trouble is we as fans are not going to be the first to get the truth I am sure this will soon unfold . And in my opinion it might be for the best as don’t think the Americans were in it for the long term .

Perhaps the timing is perfect if your view is we are all but safe this season. To create the longest available window to sell their shares in a club without fear of relegation. From say now until at least Xmas.

Much as I'd like to see that happen, we all would, who said we were going to compete with Arsenal and Spurs with a new main stand and a 34,000 capacity? We won't compete with 34k in a half built stadium. That was the point of what I said. Chelsea was a middle of the road team until Abramovich came along. City had spent years in the lower leagues. It takes super rich owners and a desire for success. Why not Palace?

The reality is you can only drive forward on one premise that of a business man or of a fan otherwise your decision making process becomes confused. Maybe the board has reached this point and as Steve is one of ‘ the founder members’ the Americans realise that this combination is not going to be good for business. Either way we will not survive long term in the Premiership without constant injection of player investment which needs cash. Edited by Brinscall Eagle (12 Mar 2019 8.34pm)

We're a two-bob club (in the grand scheme) currently doing bloody well given our history. That's a shame. Edited by .TUX. (12 Mar 2019 8.56pm)

(12 Mar 2019 8.56pm) agree with you, but the new stand would make us at least 2 and 6 - the ground is presently a joke, with the new stand it would not be, we wouldn't compete with the top 4 but we would not be nearly so two bob

agree, too bad we couldn't have partnered with the Fulham owner, Shahid Khan, he seem's real sports guy with a long term view. I saw him at Palace once when we had the American cheerleaders over, but he probably thought the ground was so poor it wasn't worth the effort. I expect he will eventually move Fulham and have a big piece of prime real estate to develop Originally posted by Terry Ven
We can kiss goodbye to a new stand...how embarrassing after all the song and dance Edited by HKOwen (13 Mar 2019 3.16am)
Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance. |

As I said earlier I doubt whether it will be easy to sell a minority stake to someone who will be happy leaving control in the hands of Steve Parish. I have no doubt that there are all sorts of legal agreements between the shareholders about what would happen in the event of one or more of the shareholders wanting out but it would be pointless to hazard a guess what they say. As a matter of interest the club's accounts are due to be published by no later than 31st March and I wonder if they are going to publish on time or whether there will be more threats of dissolution by Companies House
