Wagner had huge support from Huddersfield fans despite their woes, which probably speaks volumes about him as a manager. I wouldn't be against him if Roy left, but I think we need to be looking at bringing in someone who has a clear long-term plan (like Klopp did at Liverpool) as we are likely to lose some big players in the next two years and the club need to get their replacements right. Given our strong links to France with our French speaking contingent maybe we could look in that direction for someone like Rudi Garcia?

Don't understand why people are saying Wagner wouldn't do well with us

When he was at Huddersfield he brought in youngsters from abroad and lower league on an extremely small budget. That's exactly what Palace are trying to do now and he'll also have our academy to work with this time. And he might've often played for draws in the Premier League but in the Championship when his players were good enough he went at teams. He'd have more opportunities to do that with our squad.

Would be a risk no doubt so maybe not worth outright sacking Roy for him right now, but defo an option to consider once he leaves imo

Really?
Went up with a negative goal difference, and won the play-off final on penalties after a 0-0.

In 17/18 Huddersfield's net spend was £46 Mill and this season it is £35 Mill.

He also won 25 out of 46 games - 15 of which were at home too. He battered the likes of us Bournemouth and Watford last year when he needed results and only 8 home defeats in the Prem too.

Even if his football wasn't great I wouldn't care. We've been playing crap football for years, it's nothing new. We need someone who's gonna get results, particularly at home. He's a young manager who has the capability to learn too, unlike Roy who's a total dinosaur. Like I said, he has his faults, but if he's available at the end of Roy's contract, we should absolutely consider him

Come off it, he turned Huddersfield into a bunch of hatchet men. Lets not pretend they didn't kick, bite, claw and elbow thier way to safety. Fair enough when you will do anything for the points and the quality is just not there you do what you have to do. But this is the reason there will be few tears shed when they go down despite them being a plucky small club that usually wins the hearts of the neutral. They are unattractive to watch and commit way too many fouls. No thanks

Roy’s doing a great job, he doesn’t get everything right but who does. Anyone who says we don’t play good stuff I dont understand what they’re after. We get it down, play some neat stuff and have good rhythm and ability down the flanks, very much in the palace tradition. There’s good method and positivity to what he’s doing. Not sure we’d get him but I’d like Howe when it’s time.
