There was an aviation expert on LBC this morning his view was that when flybmi was spun off it was never a viable business to start with.

The good news is that he said there is a shortage of experienced staff within the airline industry so he is expecting the other airlines to offer the flybmi staff jobs. I hope we can all agree that would be a good thing.

Additionally it was said that Loganair which is a Scottish regional airline would take over some of the routes. What wasn't mentioned was that Loganair was owned by the same company that owned BMI so it seems that the left hand was strengthened by the demise of the right hand.

Additionally it seems that some of the cash injections received by the company from the parent last year were secured by charges over it's assets making the parent a preferential creditor

And your conclusion is that the EU is something we should want to be a part of?

Corrupt and bullying. Statements like these only strengthen my resolve.

They bite the hand that feeds whilst remainers lick the boots of the whip cracker.

Hopefully May has blundered her way inadvertently to delivering a "no deal" Brexit. Good.

Just so I’m clear on your position here; the EUs are corrupt bullies for no longer giving us access to EU schemes, but also, exclusion from those schemes, which we should hate the EU for, has nothing to do with with why this business failed.

Seems logical.

I know, it's beyond stupid, then reverting to faragisms and parroting tired soundbites, as if continually churning the denial machine is any sort of credible argument for the pro's of brexit

Interesting article here detailing the problems faced by small airlines and showing how little Brexit had to do with the demise of BMI

What are you both on about? What's a faragism?

I criticised your position, not accepted it. The two points regarding EU legislation and exclusion from it (as we're still in the EU!) aren't mutually exclusive.

Perhaps companies wishing to quit the UK as a result of brexit should contact you directly before issuing a press release........

Mate, you keep using that comical Ali reference: it wasn't funny 15 years ago when it was relevant.

You need to update your go-to joke, it's not matured well. A bit like it's owner.

You two wind up merchants have no intention of debating the issues sensibly preferring to lower the tone with your ridiculous dribbling instead.

Kindly restrict your comments to sensible discussion

No matter how little brexit had to do with its demise it could have been the difference between survival and the ultimate end it has suffered.
Clearly you feel brexit had an impact though !
