Luck, that's all folks.

Get over it.

Luck generally events out. Luka should have easily been sent off on Saturday, but escaped. The goal was jammy too as it took a massive deflection.

This is not evening out, it is some kind of endemic problem at Selhurst. Look at the Burnley game.

Its not luck, it runs deeper.

Either make these players, the likes of J-MAC get their finishing boots on, or get other players into the box. Its that simple.

You should earn the right to have 1 on 1 precious goal chances in this team, and MaCarthur just lost his.

If we're not putting the ball on bentekes head on the 6 yard box, maybe he shoukd use his feet a bit more, or is that asking too much for a £30m pound player. Oh and he had a great ball in the chanel saturday and completely f****d it up...

We’ve also had 14 shots & 6 goals at Anfield & Etihad - we’re actually responsible for 20% of all league goals Liverpool have conceded this season (15% of City’s).

Maybe, just maybe we’re more clinical away from home because we don’t expect a plethora of chances whereas, at home, we kinda know there’ll be another one along in a minute? Trying too hard to please the home crowd possibly?

It’s a weird contradiction to say the least.

Will this be five? It's gonna be five! It IS five!

Not sure but only Huddersfield have scored fewer at home - we've got 9, next nearest is Newcastle with 12.

Was it Gary Player who said “The more I practice, the luckier I get”?

I got vision, and the rest of the world wears bifocals.

Doesn't appear to apply to Benteke. Quite the opposite in fact.

I genuinely think this is the best team we have had in a long time if not ever. All it is missing is a goal poacher, an Andy Johnson or a dare I say it, Glen Murray. We have enough athletic dynamic players, we just need the old style goal hanger who puts the ball in the net. I would have taken Chicarito or Defoe in a heartbeat for exactly this reason. They don’t do much on the field other than get in the right place at the right time. Given the choice at the time I would have taken one of those two until the end of the season.

The answer to finishing at this level is never easy and Batshuyai may be, but I’m not convinced yet as he has hardly been prolific other than a decent period in Germany. Anyway he is only short term with no guarantee to be signed at the end of the season. So, the challenge is to find a young out and out goal scorer who can bury all these half chances that we appear more than capable of creating. This is what our scouting team should be working on and let’s pray that the rumours of us wanting Welbeck are not true. We have enough non scoring players on our books.

McArthur brilliantly played himself to be in that postilion to unluckily miss, nothing more nothing less, worrying about it makes it deeper ..for you.

Every single football team in the whole wide world is looking for one of those as we write ...sooner or later.

Maybe, but not all teams create the chances we do. We will find our Michael Owen/Gary Lineker one day and I hope it’s soon.

Well he missed a sitter on Saturday. Not much said about it because McArthur and Kellyès were worse

TBH after the first minute he was on he was pretty innocuos

Fun Fact. He has only played 90 minutes once in the 33 Premier League games he has appeared in. His last game for Chelsea

wasn't that easy a chance as the ball came to him very quickly and the defender slid in front of him right before he received it. That said I'm sure he'd be disappointed that his shot was the wrong side of the post. Can't judge him on one chance in one game though - look how much rope everyone has given Benteke and for some the jury is still out despite his consistently bad form. For the record I do think that Bats will score us goals which will take some pressure of the rest of the players and perhaps make them less panicky in front of goal knowing that a results doesn't completely hang on them - I think that's why McArthur froze - he knew the importance of the goal too much.

I have shown McArthur`s miss to a friend at office. Until he see the miss, he said `oh, that`s a Barcelona team-play`. (he said OMG after he see the miss )

It was a terrible miss for sure but passings before the miss was excellent.
