Time to give Sorloth a start seemed to give the team more balance when he came on against Spurs and could be useful to help defend against Volkes and Woods

Cardiff now winning so tomorrow is even more important than it was before..

Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!!

So there we have it,Cardiff leapfrog us as we head down to 17th place in the table tonight putting huge pressure on Roy to get a win tomorrow.
Burnley drop into the relegation zone tonight so both sides will be desperate for the points.
Time to wake up Steve P and smell the coffee as we should not be in this mess.

I know our position is sh*t, but we have just played Arsenal, Chelsea, Spurs and Man Utd in a row, so the fact we are not in the bottom three already is some kind of positive.

I hope Cardiff stay up (although not at the expense of us). They seem like a proper close unit and despite their lack of quality you can't help but get behind them. Their Icelandic guy reminds me a bit of when we had Jedi. I'll also always have a soft spot for Warnock due to his involvement with Palace. Wolves on the other hand looked very lightweight again.

I agree that Cardiff have something of the ‘old’ Palace about them, making the most of their resources.
You know what they represent and they are always a threat from set pieces.
They will lose plenty but suspect they will collect points when the opposition underestimate them.
Brighton also maximise their resources and are dangerous from set pieces - think Duffy, Dunk and Murray.
Which brings us to Palace.
What does our current team stand for?
I would contend that we don’t maximise our resources.
We play attractive football without posing a real threat and it looks like we never work on set pieces with Luka and Andros just floating the ball into the goalkeeper’s hands.
We have better players than Cardiff and Brighton but do we have a better team.
I’m apprehensive about the Burnley and Brighton games and can see two draws.
I hope I’m wrong.

Other teams have also pretty much played the top teams as well so we are where we are on merit and because we are unable to score goals.
We are deep in the mire as some of us have been saying for while.
All of you rose coloured spectacle brigade need to get real!
Unless we start scoring we will go down because teams around us are doing the biz bar a couple.
Burnley today is massive and hacked off I have to miss it!

If we were bottom and cut adrift I might use those terms but clearly we are in a perilous position. When a team goes 6 home games without a win and without a goal from open play this is indicative of the fact that there are real problems to address and we all know what they are !

With our lack of goal threat it is very conceivable that we could lose all three games this week and should this come to pass this will not only be a hammer blow to our chances of survival it will unleash the wrath of supporters who will drop high-grade ordnance on Parish and Hodgson. My word, supporters will be at their splenetic worst.

If Palace don't fall into their traditional bad habit of playing mediocre football against teams they're expected to beat (with RH this should no longer be the case), then I believe that we should win this one comfortably 3-0. However, I reckon we're due for some blunders in defence - hope not - but I know Palace have it in them to saunter onto the field and lower their game against such opposition. Hope and expect that RH is well onto this already and won't allow it. 3-0 because after the first goal Burnley will be too exposed.
