Nice play then. Zaha header saved.

PVA will be a big player for us this season.

Not sure who's in exactly which role (last season or today) but Jario+Macca looking OK.

Last season: Luka + 2 from Macca, RLC, Cabaye
This season: Luka + Macca & Jairo?

Yep, until we have more and kick off the real season and not versus lower league teams I’m not going to get carried away because we are vulnerable here. No doubt about it.

Luka and Riedewald are both entirely different players to Cabaye. They’re anchors who both specialise in the simple stuff, which can’t go understated.

Whilst Macca can quite clearly do the Cabaye role and probably will. It is undoubtedly disappointing that we seem to just be taking the hit of losing our most creative player by a country mile on the chin.

If we don’t replace Cabaye with an actual like for like player, we’ll see the side effects pretty early on in the season. He used to take a bit of stick, but he’s the type of player who when not in the team anymore will be sorely missed.

Spot on.
