We will never know. Possibly Puncheon, Kaikai, or Wickham gone out on loan, Possibly no Ayew This I suspect. Rumours around on Saturday that Wickham may well be finished. This wouldn't surprise me as you surely can't miss 2 years and expect to play PL football.

Heard from a relatively reliable source that this was all down to his agent. Sako was happy. He was also happy with terms offered. Agent persuaded him he could get more with teams in France and Wolves making noises. Palace kept offer on table the whole time he was injured, underlying Roy's faith in him. Agent kept advising not to sign. If I was Bakary I'd be getting rid of my agent immediately. It's a great shame how it worked out. A case of the player needing us more than we needed him quite frankly. If that is true then I take back what I say about him and it is a sad indictment of the nature of players agents that this would be the case.

I think its a shame Bakary Sako got injured just as he was getting goals last season, if he was fit I would prefer Roy to have played him instead of C Bentecke, at least Bakary new, and knows where the goal is, good luck Bakary.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Sako on his way back to Palace' by Midlands Eagle As much as I like summer and the heat, roll on the winter when Bakary Sako and Roy can get to agree a contract and hopefully sign up. Blimey I'm getting hot already thinking of the prospect.

On his way to West Brom apparently good luck to him although I’m glad he hasn’t signed in time to play against us tonight ...... [Link]

I would take Sako over Wickham/Sorlough/Benteke every day of the week, before he got injured against WH her was finally the player we thought he would be with RH at the helm. This is going to be another Glenn , moment should of and now a massive regret.

We offered him a contract and he did don’t want to sign... his agent f***ed up do you really think he’s getting more in the championship then we offered him? Can imagine is hell mad with his agent he’s playing for them and not us...

Funnily enough I was thinking he could maybe have done for us what he did in that spell last season when he shook things up and gave us something different. Don't think Puncheon is going to do that despite being on paper a better player (or at least he was once). Edited by chateauferret (04 Oct 2018 9.02am)
