So much for my comments about VAR working and no dodgy decisions.

Said more in hope than expectation, perhaps.

Was the idiot France defender yellow-carded for the handball, anyone?

Indeed, Johnno.

Mad, I know, but I put a tenner on Australia to win, at 11-1 with Coral.

Ah well. No tea for my kids tonight!

They’re at work now, as it happens! Just to be clear; they are both teenagers!

I am all for VAR and it is becoming really accurate.

This is what we want, above all, accuracy.

However I am really confused over that decision, the Aussie defenders tackle clearly made contact with the ball first.

The pundits split down the middle after as well.

So we are now faced with 'interpretation' of the VAR?

I’m feeling a sense of deja vu, Johnno, but...indeed; come on Iceland!

Of course the big game of the weekend is tomorrow. Serbia (Luka) vs Costa Rica
