This post has been merged from a topic called 'Yannick Bolasie' by Midlands Eagle Bolasie isn't a good deal at first look. He would have to take a pay cut and I don't see the incentive for him. He would have to sign for peanuts to justify that wage considering how he's done since he left. Edited by Stirlingsays (26 Jun 2018 2.41pm)

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Yannick Bolasie' by Midlands Eagle The only way I can see him leaving in this window is by Everton continuing to pay about half of his 80k per week wages, whilst letting him go on loan without a fee. They'll need to play him, and hope he performs well, between now and January to have any chance of moving him on for a transfer fee and/or not having to carry on paying a portion of his wages.

Is he on £80k per week? Apparently so, and with 3 years to run I can't see him not wanting to pocket the £12.5 mill that totals.

Is 29 young when your game is based on pace? Looks like we sold him at precisely the right time if you ask me. The combination of his price and wage, im sure there’s better out there for the money with way more upside potential. Think we be good to take off rose tinted glasses when thinking about Yannick. Great guy, obviously still loves the club... would be good to have as a back up off the bench but can imagine the money involved would be better spent elsewhere. Step back IMO if we was to sign him for the first XI
With an injury like his, it's going to take time to recover pace and form but if we could get him on the cheap it's surely worth a gamble because at 29 he still potentially has 2/3 seasons left. As mentioned though, wages the issue as wouldn't want to be shelling out 80k a week on him.
We were somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the drugs began to take hold... |

He's got more to his game than just pace, extremely skillful and it's easy forget that for a fair period during his partnership with Zaha, Bolasie became the bigger threat for us. As mentioned though, wages the issue as wouldn't want to be shelling out 80k a week on him. So only 2/3 years left means no sell on revalue. Absolutely would not get a penny back on any transfer fee. But yeah I’d take him on a free if we just had to cover semi high wages. Whoever thinks he’s on £100k/week is nuts surely! Id imagine somewhere around the £60-80k mark. But hey if the boy got signed on £100k wages well done to the lad. Absolutely no way we pay a squad player that though.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Yannick Bolasie' by Midlands Eagle Selling Bolasie looks like fantastic business now. He was good, we had him when he had a name to make....but he was made even better by the space that having Zaha on the other wing gave him. He's hit the gravy train now. Why would you move in your late twenties on his 'feet up' money?

Bolasie had a couple of nice moves come off...but frustrated far more often than he impressed.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Yannick Bolasie' by Midlands Eagle Ex players coming back on the pitch or as Managers, forget the sentimentality & move on. Everton are getting shot for a good reason & I bet they're gonna try & claw back as much as that 28 million too. Love YB but that ships sailed.
