Watford have an extensive European network, Burnley work within their local area.

I never get the impression we have a strategy. Feels like we just sign players that are offered to us by agents, hence why they're always linked to loads of clubs of similar stature. Sure I'm talking s***, but that's just how it comes across!

Agree think we are usually just panicking at the end of the window.
I’d f*ck freedman off out of it, should be on performance related pay, little rat.

A rather sanctimonious view, he isn't the first football employee to move for more money and certainly wont be the last, its par for the course in the football world. He was appointed a few weeks before the last window, so unfair to judge him. He has a track record of finding decent players for us, most of the team that got us promoted.

We paid peanuts for Jach. He is young and perhaps one for the future. It is very rare these days to buy someone for around a mil that can walk straight into a prem 1st team. As for Rakip it was a loan deal to have a close look at him. No one knows the full terms of the loan or whether we have a buy clause. Again he is young and represented his country at youth level. So it would be reasonable to assume he offers something. Have you seen either of them play? Perhaps best to pass judgement once you have.

Townsend. Under Pardew he was pathetic.

To be fair I don’t think any of us hated him. Just thought he was a bit crap and not the player we thought we’d bought. Where as Simon Rodger...

A whole load of good posts, I always think we should have balance in the squad and cover based on our gameplan

Keepers: Guaita, Hennessey, Speroni
LB: Ward, Wan-Bissaka
RB: PVA, Schlupp
CB: Tomkins, Sakho
CB: Dann, Kelly, Jach
CM: Luka, Jairo, Macca, Cabaye
RM LM: Andros, Wilf
ST: Benteke, Sorloth, Wickham

Both Dann and Sakho seem injury prone, if possible I'd replace Dann with an up and coming from the championship.
I think we need another defensive midfielder, like Amadou who we were linked with.
Imho Yohan can't play forward midfield anymore, we need someone with pace to open up defenses.
We desperately need cover for Andros & Wilf too.
We need another striker assuming that Daly needs another year in U23.
Everyone else can leave to open up space for replacements. However, that sees completely unrealistic but we must try otherwise its another year of the same hoping that the above don't get injured.

As I think someone else said, the important signng in Roy.

I’ll go with what Roy thinks , which has been to not give either of them a minutes football even though we have had “the worst injuries at any club during my career”, Roy’s words not mine.

If we beat Leicester maybe Roy will give them a game against WBA last game assuming we are safe.

He also said when we bought him that "he is one for the future".

Think in a season where we had the worst injuries we’ve ever known and the worst start to a premier league season by any team , ever.
Roy could have done with having a bit of help buy the board (and freedman), without Roy we’d have finished bottom, then loads of staff would have been sacked and we wouldn’t have had much of a future.
