I'm away on holiday at the moment so don't have all the details to hand but from memory the club took out a short term borrowing facility with Barclays after the June 2017 year end which has subsequently been repaid so it has nothing to do with the accounts that we are talking about. The only reason that I can think of for the delay is that Parish and Co have done something that the auditors don't like and so they have refused to sign them off
*financial restructurings that we don't know about took place that complicated matters. I'm sure there are other highly plausible explanations too. But I will be pleased go see the numbers provided they contain no nasties. Edited by Ginger Pubic Wig (31 May 2018 6.10pm)

I didn't know the PL needed to sign off the accounts before submission, but if they say so..... it'd be nice to know how LONG they've had them and whether, for example, they can make observations about them. assuming that little known publication didn't just make that detail up. But what has a restructuring in May or June 2018 got to do with the accounts for the year ended 30th June 2017 as you can't go back and rewrite history Where did I say this had to do with a restructuring in May or June of 2018? Instead of jumping on me, perhaps you should read what was posted via the links. From reading the government's guidance on businesses it is reasonable to assume a restructuring might be the reason for the action noted on the company's house website: especially as that is one of the main reasons listed for that type of action. That explanation is just as likely, if not more so, as the scenario you put forward. From your other posts it is clear you are making a large logical leap based upon supposition, and then behaving as though only you know the facts. I would ask why you think that is reasonable, and whether that is even logical?

The only reason that I can think of for the delay is that Parish and Co have done something that the auditors don't like and so they have refused to sign them off The Barclays deal was November 16 & was settled February 18. It was put to me that this may have been the result of a financial restructuring that made adequate funds available to do so - it could have taken months to actually finalise the settlement. They have also changed from a standard auditing firm to a consultancy dealing with all sorts as well as accounts submission. One thing that auditors don’t like is unknown ownership factors which is the case with the US holding Co which is domiciled in a state (Delaware) which does not make it compulsory to declare directors/shareholders (So I’m told). To be fair, most of this is way over my head.
Will this be five? It's gonna be five! It IS five! |

Err, yes you did, I mentioned them and the FA in a post yesterday morning, and both of them are far more rigorous than Companies House, and they have the power to evict a club from the league.

Just because you say something doesn't make it a fact as most of what you have been spouting in this thread has been rubbish anyway

What precise, material, factual things is Bexleydave supposed to have got wrong? I can't see a single one.

Between the year end and the signing of the balance sheet, some dealings (like a restructure, material change in circumstances) can constitute an adjusting post balance sheet event and therefore needs to be disclosed.
